I ask all my moms/ dads out there for a favour.....if you go to the dollar store...pick up a couple extra pairs of gloves or a few hats and have your kids bring them in to their school for the office to hand out to kids that didn't bring any or don't have any....it is so very cold out there....lets help keep each other's children warm!!
Just a mom making sure no hands or ears go cold..;)
Spotted : To the person who found my wallet at Dr. Chan's office today and brought it next door to my doctor's office. I did not even know I was missing my wallet til I looked. My last $40 was in there for Christmas as I am legally blind and on a fixed income. So thank you to whoever it was that brought it in without asking for a thing.A joyful Christmas to all.
Dear Spotted in Windsor:
Last October, I witnessed a car accident on County Road 42, near the airport. As the accident happened right in front of me, I pulled over, grabbed my cell phone and began to dial 911 as I ran over to the car. Frantically screaming, the father ran over to me, pleading for help. The worse screams I've ever heard and have never forgotten. His young boy, unconscious in the backseat with massive head trauma. With the help of the 911 operator, I assisted the best I could. I held the young boys hand, and comforted him as any mother would. There was really nothing I could do but wait for the paramedics to arrive.
On a daily basis, everyday people become first responders in some very horrific situations. I think of this boy every day. In the days that followed, I was able to receive little information from the police on his condition, due to privacy issues. I have no idea what his name is or how he is doing today. If there is any chance that anyone on this site knows this boy and how he's doing today, I would be eternally grateful for any update you could provide.
Spotted: Thank you to the person who parked way too close to my mother's car door at the LCBO on Lauzon today. She had to wait until you came out in order to get her car. When you finally came out you told her that if she wasn't so fat she could fit. Heaven forbid someone says that to you or your mother...she was very upset ....so thanks for ruining someone's self image...Happy Holidays to you too.
Spotted : To the incredibly nice man who bought 24 of us tequila shots at Jimmy G's last Friday,
I hope you still had lots of casino winnings to spend on yourself, because you deserve it! Thank you for brightening my day.
Cheers!
