Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I just wanted to give a special shout out to the amazing people who where enjoying lunch at Gilligans on on Walker Rd. Sat (Nov 11th) between 1:30-3:00pm. You see I am a surrogate for two amazing men from France. We got the oppertunity to have them visit us this past weekend and we did a gender reveal while at Gilligan's on Saturday. We are all so touched by the amazing staff who took care of our party and even got in on the fun of picking team blue or team pink. As well as the other patrons who were watching our excitment unfold, there was a couple of people who came up and congratulated the fathers and spoke with them for a minute. I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Not only did you show them the kindness and support that day but you have forever left a great impression of not just Canadians but Windsorites. They are amazed at how friendly and supportive people really are and will cherish these memories forever as will I.
Every morning, hundreds of people travel the e.c.row to and from work, and every morning you in your white Honda/ Hyundai SUV tailgate people and flash your brights. Do you know how a highway works? Just because you flash your brights like a strobe light does not mean it's safe for them to get out of your way and they don't have too! You are a bully and are going to cause an accident either by rear-ending someone or causing them a seizure or by simply blinding someone and causing them to panic and swerve. But as long as you get what you want right? Go back to driving school, or better yet wake up ten minutes early so you're not road raging all the way to your destination.
Thank you to the wonderful nurses Kim,Maria,Manny,Amanda and Scott and anyone else I missed while being medicated. You all made those 2 dreadful weeks so easy to deal with. You all have no idea, thank you all so much. I never got to say that to some of you or say goodbye. But I appreciate all you did for me. I know it's a job but to me it was helping me live and keeping my spiritz up in conversations. I'm getting better every day.
Thanks to you! You deserve so much more!
Hugs your 2 weeker from 7112a
My child has been struggling with reading comprehension. I am looking for some reviews on Sylvan Learning Center! It seems like a fantastic learning facility, however, it is expensive. I am struggling with deciding to take my child there or not, as I don't personally know anyone who has been there before. Thank you!
My sister works with a construction company and her job requires her to knock on a persons door and notify you that work will be done on your lawn but after the work is done everything will be fixed. Well this one guy in South Windsor decided he wanted to yell at her and bash her. She's the type that freezes when someone puts her in a stressful situation so she froze. To the man that made my sister cry, how do you feel? Was it worth it? She was just doing her job. If something is happening in your life I'm sorry but don't take it out on other people. I also want to thank his neighbor who was very kind to my sister and offered her a cup of water. At the end of the day we are all working to make ends meet and no one deserves to be treated like that.
My daughter lost her wallet at the mall yesterday. It was found by lovely lady who took the time and trouble to drive completely out of her way to drop it in our mailbox. Thank you for showing my daughter that there are good honest people in our city.
Last night, my daughter, her dad and I went to the Detroit Pistons game, and on the way home, on the tunnel bus, a very nice young man was such gentleman and sweetheart to my 7 year old daughter. Chatting with her and making her smile, and even giving her his Detroit Pistons hat, It made her day. She was so happy going home and wearing that hat and is even wearing it all day today. Thank you to that guy on the bus, you made an already unforgettable night even more memorable for her. Thank you!
I found a bill fold with money in it at the Tecumseh mall today ( Nov 11) around 1:30pm. There was no ID. I gave it to security. If you are the owner the security office has it and they need the description of the wallet to confirm you are the owner. Hoping whoever it is gets their money back!
