Just wanted to send a shout out to ALL of our hard-working postal workers, who traipse around this fine city of ours, through nasty weather and unfavorable conditions---somehow you all still have a warm greeting for us and have a smile on your faces. Thank you so much for all that you do.

'They' say people in our world today have become narrow minded and one sided. People rush to appease themselves. Throw compassion and care for one another to the curb.

I beg to differ. During my quest to find an old prayer book for a 102 year old elder, I was amazed and enlightened with the responses and words of encouragement, links, websites and suggestions I received from many Windsorites and persons not connected to Windsor at all.

We did indeed find the 'needle in a haystack' although of a different edition. Thank you. All of you.

Spotted : to the Essex County Library, the Windsor Star, as well as the editors. Thank you also to the Goodwill Bookstore and especially to whomever it was that generously donated this book to the bookstore in the first place.

Mrs. C can now hum and sing her hymns until her little heart is content.

Spotted : So today I was working like I always do in the mornings. Except today I decided to hit a Tim Hortons and get myself an iced coffee. As I'm pulling up this nice gentleman lets me in (it was clear he was there first). As I ordered I thought "I should pay for this guys order". But because he was behind me it was hard to know if I'd have enough. His order only came to 1.15 but I wanted to repay him some how. So I decided to pay it forward and pay for his order :). Not only did it make me feel good but I'm sure it made him realize people can do nice things! I run into a lot of rude people in this city, but this guy put a smile on my face for simply being patient and allowing me to go first. Thank you whoever you are, it was a small sign of being courteous and it went along way.

Spotted : To the ladies at my doctors office your the best!! I didn't make my appt in time and you slipped me in on the last day before your holidays. If it wasn't for you I'd be with out meds thru the holidays !! I often see people being rude to you ladies and your always professional about it. Thank you! Merry Christmas

Spotted : To the person who hit my car last night and took off my mirror, i would like to say how thoughtful you were to not leave a note or knock on my door. I say Merry Christmas to you!! I wanted to thank you, not because of my great birthday present, or early Christmas present you gave to me by showing compassion to rectify what you caused. Not!!

I found out today from people that live 4 hours away that I knew the man killed in the accident on Monday. I am very disappointed in the lack of details that the media in Windsor put out. It seems that they report the day the story happens with no follow up ever. I am glad that I am still in touch with friends back home that I was able to find out who it was and that when he was killed he was walking to pick his daughter up from school. He was a good person when I knew him in highschool and now his daughter has lost her Dad 9 days before Christmas. A story that needs to be told to the caring people of Windsor!

Spotted : I'd like to give a big thank you to the two nice guys that came out of RC WHITE this morning to help push me out of my driveway. After spending half my night in the ER over a possible blood clot, I sure was happy to receive their help. Thank you gentlemen, for taking the time to assist a mom and son..
