Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
to the man in the pickup truck in front of me, who paid for my order at the Goyeau Tim Horton's drive thru, Friday morning. When I got up to the window, I was told I had been "Spotted in Windsor." I hope you saw me waving as you pulled away. Your kindness started my day off with a smile and I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend. Thank you! =
To the young man in the Tim Hortons drive thru on Ottawa Street this afternoon...you have been spotted! We went to pay for our coffees, and the cashier returned $5 to us, but it never made it to our hands...it fell out. The man in the car behind picked up the money and returned it to us before the cashier even made it outside to pick it up. We, in turn, gave the cashier the $5 and asked her to pay for your order and thank you for being so kind . Pay it forward...there are really great people in this city!
To the person who left their purse open with their wallet in it at the Princess Ball at the Fogolar today...that wasn't your brightest moment to say the least. Then, for you to try to blame the organizers of the event? What a joke. It is not their fault that you were careless in a place filled with over 300 people. I will apologize on your behalf to the people you were yelling at, and trying to blame. Also, you're welcome for me paying for your daughter's glitter tattoo.
Best Deal and Reliance auto sales on Tecumshe rd west.
You've been spotted!!!
Shovel your bloody sidewalks!!!
Sincerely a pedestrian who's tired of slipping and sliding everytime I gotta go to the store.
to the organizers of the Princess Ball to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada. While their may have been some small glitches at the start, it turned out to be an AMAZING afternoon. Every little girl in that place was smiling ear to ear, and was made to feel truly special. Your attention to detail and hard work was certainly visible. Please let the complainers' ridiculous rants roll off your backs...you had a large group of volunteers who clearly put a lot of time and effort into this event. Fro this we applaud you.
Princess Ball 2014 Organizers...YOU'VE BEEN SPOTTED (and we can't wait for next year!)
I got a phone call last night at 11:20 from a guy claiming to be from Microsoft. He told me that my computer was sending out malicious material and I need to follow his steps to stop this from happening. He told me to use the run command and type in 'www.support.me' which brought me to a website called 'secure.logmeinrescue.com' and input a six digit number. When I questioned him about his authenticity, he gave me my address and postal code. I told him this is common information that can be obtained easily by a simple 411.ca search or even by looking in the phone book and I needed more proof that he is actually from Microsoft (because they NEVER call people for any reason). I googled the site he told me to go to and got this (http:/ / www.infosecisland.com/ blogview/ 15066-Cyber-Criminals-Just-Came-A-Callin-At-My-House.html) so I told him that I was going to update my computer and, if the problem persists, he can call me in a day or two to solve the problem. This is when he started getting ignorant to me and threatened to 'brick' my computer and block my IP address if I don't do as he says. He called me an a$$hole quite a few times until I told him I was calling the police as soon as I was finished talking to him. After he hung up the phone, I called the police and they confirmed it was a scam and to not ever enter the six digit code because it would give him full control of my computer. Luckily, I know enough about computers that I didn't fall for this, but I fear there are many others that may become a victim of this. Please pass this along so that everyone knows that this is a scam.
I have been to many vets in windsor over the last 20 years. I have always found it hard to find a very knowledgeable vet that knew up to date information on current practice. Many vets answered questions very vaguely. I currently switched my vet to Tecumseh animal hospital. They are the complete package there! My vet Dr. MacKenzie is very smart and up to date with all current practice. I dare someone to try to stump him with a question. He is friendly, awesome with your furry baby and takes the time with you to answer all your concerns. I saw dr. Thomson in an emergency situation and she was great also. From the moment they answer the phone they make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I HIGHLY recommend them if you want the best care.
This morning our gate was accidentally left open and the big guy, Buddy, got out. He was gallivanting around east Windsor for about an hour and half. To my dear friend Christel who I woke up to come and help me with the search, you've been spotted! Thank you for waking up out of a dead sleep to help me find my dear Buddy. To the lady from down the street who put her dog back in the house and went on the hunt for Buddy, you've been spotted - Thank you!. To the lady walking her giant husky in the forested area near Wyandotte and Riverdale, you have been SPOTTED! Your decision to take your dog out on this -8C morning is one I can't thank you enough for. Buddy loves Huskies for some reason, and had you not been walking who knows how much farther he would have run and what could have happened. Thank you for being a great dog owner and walking your pooch! Last but not least, to my little Abby (the little one in the pic, you've been spotted for having a super nose. She is nearly 7 years younger than Buddy and when I put the car away and decided to walk looking for him, she put her nose to the ground and pulled me in the right direction, seemingly right to him. Clearly, I wish I would have done that in the first place... So to all of you, You have been spotted! You're great people with good hearts, I can't thank you enough for your efforts!
To everyone else, give your animals a hug and remember to close the gate. :-)
