Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Spotted: The neighbors next to my sisters house,
I am very disappointed in your behavior. You know that my brother-in-law is newly blind and has a hard time doing regular tasks that we take for granted every day. Yet, although they have asked you not to leave your car near their driveway so the snow plow can remove snow in front of their driveway, you do it anyways. In fact you have now moved your vehicle in front of their house and not yours, meaning that your driveway is cleared and theirs is almost completely missed. Yes he is legally blind, but he can make out enough shapes to help my sister clear the driveway. It is not the fact that they don't want to clean snow that they shouldn't have to, but if there is any oncoming traffic he could be hit by a car. I feel very sad for you that you have nothing better to do then to think of ways to make your life easier at the expense of someone that is dealing with a new, life changing disability.
You've been spotted!!!
Thank you to the wonderful man who gave my son a ride to St.Clair this morning after he witnessed him get hit by a car. My son was crossing the street to the bus stop when a car ran the red light and hit him straight on. Luckily my son is okay, a little shaken up, but okay. Trevor not only stopped to make sure my son was alright, gave him his name and number as a witness, if needed, and then gave him a ride to St.Clair for his classes so he didn't have to take the bus. You have been spotted! Thank you so much.
to the Guy who chased me down this morning to warn me about my phone. I was paying for my gas today at the 7/ 11 on Tecumseh. Walked back to my van and my hands were full. I had placed my phone on the top of my van so I could get my keys and unlock it. I jumped in and drove off. I was all the way to Howard and this car pulls up next to me and signals to lower my window. I lower it and he says to me "Your phone is on top of your van, I have been following you to tell you. I haven't seen it fall off so I think it is still there." I was stopped at a light so I jumped out for a minute and looked and there it was, my brand new Samsung. I looked at him and thanked him and he said no problem. He pulled into the first parking lot and turned around heading back the opposite way on Tecumseh. Thank you kind sir for going our of your way to tell me that and save me the cost of replacing my phone. And so thankful that it was secured by the rack on top of my van, that has saved me so many times before with my purse.
Signed,
A lady who should walk around with less things in her hands ;)
I just wanted to say a word and a huge THANKS to Snow Plow drivers. Did you know most drive 12-14-16 hours straight or MORE! Making sure roads and parking lots are clear for YOU? Please be patient when plows are in your way...most have work long exhausting hours and deserve your respect, patients and some distance between their plow and your car! Honking and cursing at them to hurry won't help! My husband is one of them. Thank you guys for putting so many hours in!! Stay safe out there guys!!
I have a daughter who wants to take first aid and CPR training. Does anyone know where in Windsor this is offered?

I just wanna say thanks to all the hardworking staff at Victoria Park Place, you guys are always making sure the side walks are clean, salted and the common areas are kept dry and mopped with all this messy weather! Xo*
