It's very eye-opening to see the true heart of Windsor & Essex County by our family's participation in the "Coldest Night of The Year" Walk for the Downtown Mission (Charity Event last Saturday, Feb 22). People gathered by the hundreds at the Downtown Mission to walk 5km or 10km along the icy sidewalks of downtown Windsor. All participants were given the event hats to wear along our tour of some of the streets that are occupied by many people who truly need our help, from the homeless to Windsorites who have almost lost everything in these tough times. Streets that were once beautiful and vibrant with businesses have now become mere ghost buildings that stand waiting to be occupied again, but are sadly falling apart. My wife asked if we, as a family, could participate in this event as her birthday present. I can honestly say that we are proud to have raised some pledge money to help the people in need in Windsor and could see that every other walker felt the same pride. Well done Windsor, well done. And thank you to my wife who teaches me to be a better person every day of our lives.

On Saturday, February 22nd my coat disappeared from Lefty's, on Ouellette Ave. If you happened to grab it by accident, I would really appreciate it if you would bring it back! It's a black trench coat with a pink & white liner, pink scarf, and grey gloves. Thanks!

Please HELP!! Did ANYONE spot and accident on EC ROW Friday night 7-730pm? Between a white Transport truck and a small dark blue 95 Old Cutlass?? It happened near the Dominion on ramp headed west bound. The Transport cut over into the fast lane too soon cutting off and hitting the car with the rear portion of the truck! It caused the car to spin out of control slamming into the center ditch!! The Truck Driver DID NOT STOP!! They did not pull over to even seen if anyone in the car was ok! This was a blantant HIT AND RUN!! The woman driving the car NEEDS to find this truck and it's driver! The car was TOTALLED leaving this young mother with no way to work and no way to replace her car! Insurance won't cover it UNLESS they have the Driver at faults information! Please!! Anyone who saw this and was fast and smart enough to write down or remember seeing this please HELP!!

Lost gold chain & pendant

I just saw a post by someone asking about the posts looking for American wallet. I can only speak for my own post and it is not a scam. It was lost on the west end of Windsor, on girardot street. Adult male 28 years old Michigan identification. There was $80 in the wallet which is unimportant. His us passport card was in the wallet which he needs to cross the border so please if anyone finds it or has heard of anyone finding please let me know!!! If you could please spread the word hopefully whoever found it gets wind of this and can contact me. I cannot afford to offer a reward or I would. Thank you :)
