Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Spotted: The amazing nurses in the Windsor/ Essex Region. I'd love to give a shoutout to some of the most dedicated, caring, and compassionate individuals I have ever come across. After having the opportunity to meet dozens of nurses at both campuses of Windsor Regional Hospital, as well as nurses working in the community, I have concluded that these are some of the most patient and resilient men and women I have ever met. Nurses are frequently required to change diapers, hold the barf bucket, treat infected wounds, and other "icky" stuff, and I have never seen a nurse turn up her nose in disgust.
I have witnessed a nurse quietly slip a patient money for a bus fare because she had no way of getting home. I have witnessed a nurse weep over the death of a patient that she had never met, and I have witnessed countless nurses offering comfort and support after a difficult diagnosis. I have watched nurses patiently, carefully, and gently care for people that are in pain, no matter how much of a hurry they are in.
And of course, the nurses are not acting alone. I think every person involved in health care deserves a round of applause, including doctors, nurses, personal support workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, lab techs, ultrasound/ xray techs, dieticians and other dietary staff, porters, pharmacists, counsellors, clerks, volunteers, paramedics, housekeeping/ janitorial staff, and any other members of the health care field that I neglected to mention. Give yourselves a pat on the back and know that Windsor thanks you!
Was in dollarama today at McDougal and don't even remember opening my purse or anything but as we were leaving the man behind us tapped me and handed me my 280.00 juicy couture sunglasses that somehow came out of my purse, thank you very much I've had these forever and they mean alot to me, was in a rush so just kind of took off but thank you
Last night hubby and I went to Sams trattoria on Wyandotte it was after 11pm we worked and just wanted a nice warm meal, it was crazy loud and a huge group of Students were being obnoxious, the waitress had more than her hands full, stuff got messed up with our order but when we went to pay she fixed it all and made it all OK and we had a nice chat, I feel bad for her having to put up with the craziness going on in there, some ppl need to learn respect.. She really did go above and beyond and she was handling everything well... You are doing great and thanks for making our night a Lil better :)
To the person in the car I cut off on Seminole at about 3:45pm today. Just want to say I'm sorry.
My son is on the autism spectrum and is fascinated with cars, so we spend a lot of time at the dealerships checking out cars and collecting brochures. It's a great way for him to be rewarded, and at the same time, work on his social skills. We stopped by Rose City Ford yesterday and I'd like to say thank you to everyone for being so kind, and especially Eugene for taking the time to search in the back for the Transit brochure. My son's Ford collection of brochures is now complete because of you. You may not realize it, but with kids on the spectrum things like this truly do mean the world to them (and to their parents too!) You've been spotted! Thank you!!
I am totally discusted by this company that i have bought over the years almost my entire home furnishings. About 8 months ago my mother in law came to live with us. She wanted a new bedroom set so naturally we brought her to the place i always go to. Teppermans windsor. She purchased her set and they talked her into the life protection. She was charged for it and had been making all her payments. Unfortunatly she passed away last week. We called the claims department and were told they would send a form and her perchase was covered. Yesterday i git a call from teppermans saying that because of her age they should not have sold her the life insurance and it was not valid. In their website it sais that everyone is covered with no health questions. She was 70. They knew her age when they signed her up. This is just discusting to me. Noah Tepperman.... family to family... during this difficult time in our family yours is just making it worse. Her death was tragic, unexpected and sudden.. I will never in my life shop there again, people beware. When they want to sell you the insurance dont take it or better yet shop at the brick.
I was traumatized as a child by my dentist. Thanks to Dr. Flis in Tecumseh for filling my back tooth today and making it an actual pleasant experience! You've changed my perception of a dental appointment!
Thank you so much!
