I found a gold wedding band at Home Sense. The inside is engraved. I posted an AD on kijiji but so far have heard nothing. I am sure that the woman who is missing this ring is hoping it is found. If you call Home Sense they will give you my number because I was so busy with the long line that I had forgotten to turn it in to their lost and found. I did call them immediately after I realized that I hadn't left it for them. I'm hoping that this ring finds its owner. If you could please share. Thanks for your help in advance.

Spotted : The news and media are constantly filling our heads with negative, depressing and frightening stories. This web page is such a refreshing look at the good in humanity. Right here in our lovely area, there are wonderful things that happen every single day, and without web pages like "spotted" we would never hear about the beauty in one another. I find myself tuning in for stories of hope, and news items of the goodness in people, so much more then turning to the media for the ugly reality and sensationalism that they choose to report.

Kudos to the creator of this page, for giving us hope!!

Spotted : To the women with the license plate A#%$ & @6 who hit a parked silver Lexus in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot, on Grand Marais on Dec 23, can't believe you would drive off: even after an employee stopped you from driving off! Great way to ruin Christmas for someone by destroying their car. Just despicable.

P.S. We've given them your license plate.

spotted: Canadian Tire staff at both West and East locations!

so I'd been running rampid looking for a car starter for my mom as a Christmas present. was going to get one in the states until I started to worry if it would turn into a problem electrically once installed for her to get her etest this summer. enter Canadian tire staff. I first called the west end location to see of they had any in stock. the man I spoke with was very helpful. he answered alllllllll of my questions and explained that sometimes the starters can alter an etest but that it can be basically unplugged and reinstalled if they know it's there (in case anyone else was wondering). then he did me one better. he let me know they would be going on sale half price on Boxing Day but that they didn't have any left, to call the east end location, which I did. Paul from automotive parts was also very helpful. I explained we were spending Christmas in the states and at that price, I was worried they'd be sold out Boxing Day by the time we got there. he didn't think so but said to call him Boxing Day morning and he'd see if he could put one away for me. when we got there later that afternoon there were lots left so I guess it wasn't necessary after all lol. after purchasing the 4-button car starter I asked about an extra starter. he said I could purchase one for $40 or $50 but that the next step up from the one I had came with two starters and was only like $15 more. score! so I went through the return process. which I just knew would be painfully long and tedious process. it wasn't. the girl at the counter was helpful to everyone in line (I think her name was Sigi? sp?) and she made quick work of exchanging my starters for me when my turn came and we were off. so I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me make my moms Christmas a little brighter. she was so very stoked that she won't be spending the rest of her winter freezing her butt off.

and if anyone is looking, we got a prostart 4-button starter. the sale is on for the next few days I think. east end Tecumseh street has them but doesn't install them but the west end location will. or they can give u a number for a service who does them. happy new year!!
