As I walked along Victoria Ave. Friday morning, I commented to two women how lovely their Christmas greenery looked. They told me that it was not their home, but that of their friend. They informed me that the family was in London because both their young daughters were getting back surgery as we spoke. They went on to say that they wanted to surprise the family with the decorations, when they returned from Londton. What a lovely gesture by these two thoughtful women, you have been spotted

Oh spotted in Windsor I need your help! My husband and I took our kids out of a gift exchange on my side of the family so that the kids can NOT receive a gift but GIVE a gift to a needy child. Our kids nowadays have EVERYTHING a kid could ever want so we decided to give to some needy kids this year and have our kids heavily involved. My husband and I went to Kholes in the states to purchase 20 stuffed animals to donate. At Kholes if u buy "certain" ones...they donate 100% to kids charities...so we thought yay! Double whammy! But one problem...we need ideas if WHERE we can go to donate these. I thought of having the kids give them to children in the hospital at this time of year but they won't let us do that. We could but wouldn't be allowed to give them out ourselves. Someone else would. Which is okay but defeats our point of our kids seeing the blessing they are doing by their giving. So that's where u guys come in! Where oh where can we donate these stuffies to unfortunate kids? My children would love to hand them out...any ideas????

Spotted: To the guy in the black car idling outside Budimir Library at 2:15 pm today who opened their car door and emptied their entire ashtray of butts and ashes onto the parking lot. Do you think the Christmas fairies will be cleaning up after you?

Spotted : I was entering Devonshire mall a few days ago from the entrance by Moxies when I saw an elderly woman struggling with her bags. She would take a few steps and drop her heavy bags and try to pick them up again. There was a large group of young people standing/ sitting on a bench right next to where this poor woman was trying her best with her shopping bags. Not a single one of them, nor many of the people passing her offered to help. Some of them even looked directly at her but failed to do anything about the situation. Where are your hearts people? If we spent a little less time texting and updating Facebook statuses on our phones we could help brighten someones day with the simplest gesture. The older woman was so sweet and grateful, my heart broke that more people did not jump at the opportunity to walk 20 feet out of their way to help her. Please keep your eyes out for the sweet eldery that may need a hand this holiday season! Thanks! - A disheartened shopper

Also to the volunteers of Knobby's kids.....your hearts are big especially to be out in such cold helping kids get an experience they might not otherwise have!
