Last night i had the opportunity to attend this event, I had never heard anything about it before and that's why I'm sharing this. It benefits all local people of essex county. Last night event was prom it was a girls only event. And what girl wouldn't want to get all dressed up with her girlfriends and go out as if there were really going to prom.There was 80's 90's and now outfits. The crimped hair style now that was a memory. It was very heart warming to know this foundation exists. I encourage everyone to check out there website and find out more. I had a blast and will definitely be attending next year.

I arrived at Street Help Homeless Centre this morning to discover two men had stolen 5 laptop computer we purchased in August for the homeless. It is so sad that these criminals targeted people who literally have nothing. Help us to get the word out to the people who bought the laptops. Can they return them, no questions asked? It would be a great act of kindness. Thanks

On Saturday, September 20th, 2014, Delta Company ~ The Essex and Kent Scottish held their Trott With The Troops. Commencing at the Major F.A. Tilson, VC Armouries in Windsor, Ontario, troops performed their yearly battle fitness run complete with full pack and weapon.

The day also featured and open house and tour of the Armouries, The Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment Pipes and Drums, a 5K and 10K run/ walk and children's 1K dash.

Proceeds from Trott With The Troops benefit The Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment Association and the London Military Families Resource Centre (Windsor).

There is a new STUDENT's REBUILD CHALLENGE out. This challenge involves making bookmarks to be handed in to support education programs. Each bookmark donated will be matched by $1.00 up to a total of $300,000. And we are all invited to gather a group of children to create bookmarks. Check it out! We can organize a few drop off locations and send in a combined effort.
