Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Last night a speeding Jeep Wrangler struck a row of parked cars at Wyandotte East and Virginia Ave.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to hospital. It is believed that alcohol was a factor.
As a lot of you know recently there has been a lot of break-ins to houses, cars, garages, etc in the east-end of OUR city, Windsor. My friends and I have began talking about it months ago but just days ago another friend of mines car was broken into AGAIN. As the weather get warmer, unfortunately crime rises. People aren't aware of the fear and anxiety one encounters when their privacy has been taken away and personal stuff has been taken. We want to start a neighbourhood watch program. I've asked friends of mine who are officers and they think it's a good idea, but NEEDS structure. With guidance from a law enforcement agency, the Watch will train its members in home security techniques, observation skills, and crime reporting. Residents also learn about the types of crime that affect the area. Watch groups are not
vigilantes and do not assume the role of the police. They only ask neighbors to be
alert, observant, and caring—and to report suspicious activity or crimes immediately to the police. I've already gotten close to a dozen friends from the east side who are on board. If you are interested in joining or have any helpful information about the subject I'd love to hear it. Leave me your Facebook and I will PM you to get the ball rolling. Thank you!
Our family suffered a devastating loss over the weekend in Arkansas, please keep your thoughts and prayers with our family as they try to rebuild an entire lifetime of memories!!
If you can find it in your heart to donate to our family who lost everything in a house fire this passed weekend. We would greatly appreciate it. Any amount would help... Please share this to as many people as you may as well.
Thanks so much.

Hey Windsor.
Have you ever wondered how you can get Involved? Or how you could make a huge difference in someone's life? Perhaps someone who is less fortunate than you. This idea actually came from a video I watched on Facebook, maybe some of you have seen it, or ones that are similar. Goes like this.
2 guys pretended to be hungry, but didn't have enough money to purchase food. They decided to approach people who were eating slices of pizza, and ask if they could have some. Of course nobody was willing to give up a slice. Towards the end of the video, they bought a pizza and gave it to a man who was actually homeless. The man was more than grateful. Later one of the guys returns and asks the homeless man if he may have some pizza. The homeless man without questioning handed him the box. Because of this the guy thanked the homeless man, and proceeded to hand him a handful of cash. Point of the video was that the only one who offered up food was the homeless man himself!
This got me thinking, why not do this in my own city? Maybe start a chain reaction, and shed better light on those people. What I would like to do is get a team of people together and organize a help the homeless day. I'd like to pick a shelter for men and women, and donate pizzas, coffee, food, clothes, anything we can think of.
I know it may be a lot to ask, but I promise it will be rewarding even for you! And they will also be forever grateful. They'll never forget how kind a group of people can be. I know there are people out there who have done similar things, and I am also reaching out to you.
If you are interested, leave a small comment and I will contact you myself through Inbox. I have already got a couple people who are interested in doing this, but the more help the better.
