Hi everyone! A new organization called Actively Engaging Female Leaders partnered with a Windsor organization known as LAWS (Leadership Advancement for Women in Sport) will be hosting 7 female only physical activity events this summer that range from boxing, soccer, zumba and yoga! Our goal is to increase opportunity and participation for women and girls to engage in physical activity and learn about physical literacy! Our events are as follows;

Thursday July 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
Boxing
Border City Boxing Club
6:30-8:30

Saturday July 18th
Soccer Day
St. Joes
2:00-3:30

Wednesday August 5th
ZUMBA
St. Dennis Centre
6:30-8:30

Friday August 7th
Outdoor Yoga
Willistead Park
6:30-8:30

Cost of each event will be a $5 donation! If you bring two children with you than we will give you a special offer! These sessions are directed towards elementary school aged girls for physical literacy testing purposes but are welcomed and encouraged to all ages of females!! Yesterday the WindsorEssex Community Foundation launched its 2015 Vital Signs® Survey.
The purpose of the Vital Signs® Survey is to collect data of Windsor-Essex residents' views of local issues affecting their community. The results from this survey are combined with local and national data to provide residents with an all-encompassing “community check-up” on important issue areas affecting their community. The results from this survey will be used to construct the Vital Signs® Report, which will be released on October 6, 2015. The Vital Signs® Report is the voice of the Windsor-Essex Community.

For completing the 2015 Vital Signs® Survey, you will have a chance to win a cash prize of 100 dollars. In order to be entered for a chance to win, you must complete the survey.
