If you have been to the Distillery Distrct in Toronto, you have to see what Walkerville Brewery and C.U.P.E. local 82 have done to Argyle road in Old Walkervile. Walkerville Block Party has transformed this area into the venue of the year. Fifteen bands over two days, multiple local craft beers, wines, Hiram Walkers liquors, six different food vendors, artists, outdoor movie theater and lighting ambiance not seen in this city before. And to top it off, ALL net proceeds go to the United Way, Emergency Assistance Fund. All proceeds stay in the local area. Don't believe me! Drive by, take a look. The energy is infectious!

This is a very difficult time and request in 2 ways. First the reason and second, the circumstances.
A man with no family whatsoever, who has lived a VERY meager life, with little or no support or help for over 16 years, has at the age of 53 been just handed just weeks to live with stage 4 lung and brain cancer. Through these last few years he has had but 1 little friend, his cat named 'Kitty'.
With such a short time left, and all the upcoming hospital events and clearly confusing times, his main concern is finding a place where his little friend can live a normal life, and not be put down. So if anyone is capable of making this happen, I'm sure it would be doing a man's final days a great service and giving him whatever peace he's looking for. Thank you for reading this and your consideration.
On Friday August 21st, there will be another court date for the accused murderer of Cassandra Ashley Kaake. Our daughter Molly Grace Kaake-Durham will not be represented in the charges by the Criminal Justice System of Canada. Due to an oversight in our laws, the accused will never be prosecuted for his crime against our daughter.
I should be posting pictures of my seven month old baby girl. Instead I post this:
I will be standing outside the courthouse on Friday at 11 a.m. to petition our lawmakers to make it so that an unimaginable act of violence like the one that took the life of my daughter will no longer be unpunished in Canada.
