I was in the middle of a product demonstration at my hot tub & pool store in Tecumseh, when a teen entered with his resume in hand, walked right up to me and cut me off mid sentence and asked me if I was hiring for the summer.
What do you think of his chances of being hired?
When handing out your resumes for work, please have the manners to wait until the employer has the time to talk to you. Job seekers have to remember that they came into the store unannounced. Customers always come first at any business. Maybe call beforehand to ask if the stores are hiring and if you can set up a time to be immediately interviewed. Showing this amount of professionalism goes a long way and may set you apart from the pack of the unemployed.
In regard to the student that came in yesterday, let's just say that his resume is already in the recycle bin.

To the girl who works at the Family Video on Tecumseh rd W. ... just wanna say you are absolutley gorgeous. When i go into the store every time and i spot that your working i look at you and say to myself wow she's gorgeous, You are also very polite and helpfull. From the guy who is going to eventually have enough courage to ask you out somtime. A single guy who looks forward to seeing you when I go to Family Video. Your smile alone makes my whole day...just sayin
