Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
This morning at the traffic light at Provincial and Cabana, some moron in a pickup unloaded a pile of plywood and a pail of drywall glue on the pavement in the middle of an intersection. When he realized he lost his load, he stopped dead centre in that intersection to pick up the mess. Don't you secure the stuff on your truck before you start driving again? Smell the coffee dude!
To the hotshot biker on walker rd. at around 1pm ,in the plaid shirt you were stopped at a stop light in the left lane behind a white vehicle. There was a red van beside it in the right lane and my van behind the red one ....you decided to ride up between the white and red cars toget into the right lane ahead of the red van.....only to make it to the next light first you sir give good bikers a bad name from your antics while riding .....its bonehead moves like that that gets people killed i ride as well but im not an idiot and follow the rules of the road unlike you ......your bad riding skills have been spotted and i pray nothing happens to you because of your anticson a motorcycle
Today I was at the Pioneer Station on Walker road getting gas. I was pulling up to the pump trying to gage how many more inches I needed to pull up to reach my gas take and this man who had a black SUV who was coming out of the store after paying for gas yells at me "Are you going to stop". I had taken my eyes off of what's ahead of me for a few seconds while I inched my way forward. My question is why would you walking in front of a moving car? I had another car getting gas in front of me so I wasn't going far. He was delayed no more than 15 seconds. Is your life that pressed for time that you had to yell at me? You couldn't wait? You are a very miserable man and I hope the rest of the day was miserable for you. As far as my day, it was great--just disappointed in rude people.
To the owner of the convenience store that sold the scratch ticket to the little boy. Do you know how many violations you just committed. To the father who stood right beside his son and allowed and even encouraged this, what kind of parent are you?
Dear colour run organizers.... when you have a 90 year old man (my Dad) stuck on the far side of your runners in 39c heat, perhaps it would be a good idea to assist him across rather than making him sit in the heat for near an hour waiting for it to pass.... he collapsed before making it back to his residence from heat exhaustion and is in hospital with a head injury, a cut lip and is hooked up to IV to replace lost fluids. It's not even a competitive run! Shame on you for not assisting him!
To the individual at the end of Edward Avenue this morning, Saturday July 18:
Posting "Street for Sale!" and "Best Offer" signs and covering the "Danger due to..." signs for the construction is totally going to make all the construction go away. The fact that our street is torn up is frustrating for all of us, not just you. Posting signs over top of the danger due to open holes, ongoing excavation and reversing vehicles is dangerous. The residents on the street know what's happening, but people who are, say, visiting friends or family or from out of town don't know what is. It's a hassle right now, absolutely, but I for one and pleased that we will have a nice, paved street and fresh water mains and clean out valves after this is all over. My daughter and I will be walking down and taking your signs down before someone gets hurt.
Did anyone witness this ? A white caravan knocked a man off his bike on June 23 around 445 pm at lloyd george and tecumseh there was yelling afterwards
I just received a call from someone claiming to be Revenue Canada Tax audit dept. They had WAY more information about me than I was comfortable with. They claimed that there was criminal charges pending against me for tax fraud and evasion and they needed my lawyers name and number. When I asked them to verify they were from Revenue Canada they promptly hung up. Yeah RIGHT Revenue Canada my a#$!!!
I called the Windsor Police Service and they said it is a scam going on and the big 3 Telecommunications companies are working on tracking them down...DO NOT give any information to these people and if they do get you on the phone tell them to verify who they are and that should be the end of the call.
This is the number that called me...1-613-366-3856.
Be careful and I hope they don't manage to scam anyone. STAY SAFE.
