Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the woman in the dark Caravan who hit my son ( who luckily wasn't injured) on his bike crossing the road at Dominion and Grand Maris I hope you learned your lesson and will pay more attention driving. If you were on your phone as my son thinks, stay off while driving.
This happened around 2pm on Sunday November 1st. If anyone saw this and perhaps has a license plate number please let me know.
To the person who broke into my car while it was parked in the Met Hospital visitor lot sometime on Friday night/ early Saturday morning... you took my sister's purse and left it on the side of the road but took the computer that was inside... We are asking that you return the computer. The reason we were at the hospital is because we were visiting my aunt in her final day before she passed away after battling cancer for far too long. On the computer was all the pictures and videos we had left to remember her by and it is heartbreaking that they are no longer with us. Please, please, please return it. Drop it off to the security desk... say you found it on a bench outside, or in an alley, it doesn't matter- we won't come looking for you. It may be a piece of technology to you but to us it holds something that can never be replaced. We just pray that you will see this and understand how important the contents inside were to us.
Please.
Today I heard my grandma yelling at my grandpa when I came home from school (in cantonese which I do not understand). When I asked my grandma why she was yelling at my grandpa, she said that someone stole his wallet from his pocket while he was walking home from Tim Hortons. She also told me that my grandpa tried to "fight" the thief off. My grandpa is an 83 year old Chinese man and enjoys going to Tim Hortons multiple times a day on Bruce and University. If you go there, you probably have seen him sitting there sipping on his coffee usually by himself. This story was heart-breaking to me because this is not the first time he has been taken advantage of for money. If you have seen anything on bruce and university ave, please let me know.
Happened today (October 22nd 2015) in the afternoon.
Yesterday october 19 I was shopping at metro on the west end when a poor man collapsed and wasnt breathing. Ive been thinking of him all night and into today and am very curious as to his condition. Its truly amazing to see how many people surrounding this man and helped. The staff at metro and the shoppers with starting cpr...informing 911 and just doing the best they all could do to get this man back to life. Please please someone with any info please share so that I could have some comfort in knowing how this poor man is doing. I left when firefighters and paramedics were helping him.....
On Tuesday October 13 at approximately 3:10 pm I was waiting for my granddaughters school bus on the corner of Sovrreign and Normandy Streets in LaSalle. Traveling west the bus approached the corner, the driver slowed down, initiated the flashing lights and put out the stop sign. The bus driver made a complete stop and opened the doors for the children to exit. A person in a company vehicle ( we were all to upset to remember which company) driving east bound started to speed up and and went right past the stopped school bus which was allowing 6 children to exit. Are you kidding me. Where have you been in the last 30 years. Do you NOT know you NEED to STOP when you see flashing lights on a bus? This is the second time in 1 week this has happened.
Who do I call to report an injured Canadian Goose? It has a badly hurt wing, I'm hoping someone can come out and get it.
To the woman sitting in row 12 with the teal vest. You ruined our night. We are sorry we were respectfully laughing at Kevin Hart's opening acts and you were too busy shhhhh us. I don't understand how people pay a lot of money for good tickets and to see a comedian however don't expect people to laugh. My mind is blown. I hope YOU had a good night.
Thank you to the Windsorite who drove down Lincoln road, near Wyandotte, Sunday evening or early Monday morning. Thank you for swiping the side of my car, scratching it and taking off the mirror. Thank you for not trying to find me or leave a note. Thank you for causing $2000 dollars worth of damages to the car I just bought a month ago.
If you live in the area and witnessed anything please come forward.
