Disrespectful

Yesterday I was at a funeral for my moms dear friend of over 50 years. On the way to the cemetery going down Ouellette a red car...not sure of the make...cut in front of us and put it's four ways on like he/ she was in procession, but didn't have the flag on it's car which made me realize that he/ she was not part of the procession. As we proceeded over the over pass he/ she quickly got out and turned left on Eugenie. I just want to say you've been spotted and cannot believe how rude and disrespectful you are...you were in that much of a hurry you could not wait...and besides that we were in the right lane and you ended up turning left! As we proceeded I realized there are really good people out there as a lot of cars pulled over to the side and waited for the whole procession to pass...thank you! I hope you see this and I hope no one ever does this to you when you are grieving a loved one...Karma works in mysterious ways!

Ignorance

I witnessed something disturbing. I was parked beside a car in a parking lot today here in windsor. The car belonged to old man who seemed to have trouble walking to his destination. I looked inside the car and saw that the entire back seat and passenger seat were completely filled up with fast food bags and miscellaneous bags, things that belong in the garbage. They were all very neatly placed. THIS ISN'T WHAT I FOUND DISTURBING! it was all the people who walked up to it laughing, pointing and taking pictures. I was stunned and very taken back of how ignorant people can be. What they were so blind to see is that this is a human being who lives with a mental health issue. Hoarding isn't something to laugh at. My hopes are by sharing this situation it might change your perspective of how some People live.

Hit and Run

Around noon today I was making a trip to the Dollar Tree on Walker Road when I witnessed an unfortunate event. There was a young man driving a light blue coloured Chevy Cruz (I believe) without tinted windows who had backed out of a parking space at the Dollar Tree. He not only hit a parked car, but thought he would do the wrong thing ... and speed away. He knew what he did, the parked car shook in its parked place as I honked several times as he sped past me. I attempted to follow him as he drove away, dodging through many parking lots. I assume he knew he was being followed and that he was in the wrong. I was attempting to get his license plate, but as he started to drive in an un safe manner I lost sight of him. The only two good things about this event was that the parked car had no damage and that his car now has a decent amount of damage to his rear drivers side bumper. I hope you read this and know that what you did was in fact wrong and I hope more karma comes your way. At least no one was hurt and the only damage was to your own car. Pay attention, do the right thing.

Hit and Run Collision Downtown - HELP

I was parked on Victoria Ave, downtown Windsor overnight between Feb 1st - Feb 2nd, outside of the Timbercreek apartment at 450 Victoria between 6pm-6:45am. When I went to my car the morning of Feb 2nd, I noticed the whole driver's side of my car had been damaged and my side mirror ripped off as well. If anyone has any information about this incident could you please leave a note? My car is a red ford focus and I would really love for someone to own up and pay for my damages.

Thank you very much in advance.

Rude Person @ McDonalds (Roundhouse Center)

Well, let me start off first by saying that this is the first time posting on this site. But after this crazy encounter I experienced today, I definitely wanted to join in.

Around 6pm.. While I was watching the news on the TV, eating the food I purchased, a guy walks up to me and says, "Excuse me?" I reply with "Yes?".... And he continues with "Can I sit here?" ..... I was shocked that with about 98% of the other seats available in the whole restaurant, he decided to interrupt me and want to sit where I was... My overly sincere reply was "Umm sure, I was just about to leave anyways"... Obviously with a smirk on my face..

Does anyone else think this was rude??? Cause I sure do!

Guy at the Kenny vs Spenny show

Dear #2 at Kenny vs spenny Friday night. How was it? Paying for VIP tickets, and only getting to see half of the show. Did your beverage of choice make you have a good time? You were so pumped to see the show. You missed your friend #1 going up on stage. I think, you completely deserve what you got. Man, you're going to ruin it for everyone. It is a privlage that we can enjoy a new kind of lounge, and there's rules for a reason. If there's a rule that consists of no alcohol, you probably shouldn't drink a ton of vodka before the show, not to the point where you're puking in your hand and disrupting the whole crowd, and making a huge puke mess for the poor staff and security to have to clean up. You're the kind of people we don't want in that kind of environment. I hope you enjoyed half the show, and making a fool out of yourself. But next time, keep yourself at home, so you don't ruin this experience for everyone. On a good note, the show was hilarious and I will definitely be going back!

Appalled by Nursing Cuts & the Quality of Our Healthcare Diminishing

I am so appalled and disgusted by the nursing cuts that have occurred in our community. Registered nurses are such an integral part of our health care system. Their education, skill set and years of experience help provide for the best quality of care for all of us, including our loved ones. How is it okay and justifiable to allow nurses to be let go and therefore allowing it to negatively affect our quality of care. Why are such cuts not being made to executive staff? Perhaps if they took more of a pay cut in their salaries that would then help with keeping the nursing staff. As a resident of the community, when I have had to visit the hospital, I have been fortunate enough to have received excellent quality care from the nurses who had helped me. We as a community need to stand up for these nurses and advocate for them. Their role is so important to the type of care that we receive in our health system. I do not understand why more people in the community are not up in arms over theses losses. It is clear that the type of care that we will get in the future will be very different from the type of care that we have been receiving up to this point. In the end, it is us, the patients, that are going to suffer because the quality of care is going to dissipate. I heard on the radio that there is an online petition going around about this and it can be found at http:/ / www.morenurses.ca/ take-action/ sign-the-petition/ . As members of this community, we need to show our nurses that we value them, their work, their dedication and their compassion. We also need to advocate for our healthcare, the quality of care that we receive and the type of care that we expect to receive. We need to ask ourselves, why is their sufficient funds to invest in creating a new mega-hospital, but there is not sufficient funds to invest in keeping these nursing jobs? I will be contacting my MP & I challenge you to do the same.

Blocking Driveway Ticket

Do I deserve a $30 ticket for Blocking Driveway? Here Is a picture of where my car was parked on Turner Rd. Ron had an appt. at the Cancer Clinic. When we arrived, there were 8 cars waiting to get into the clinic parking lot. We drove around the front of Windsor Regional Hospital-Met campus. There was a sign-Full but a staff member flagged me to pull in and moved the sign over. I got my ticket but the arm wouldn't go up. I hurried over to the pay booth and was told to go back to my car and he would send someone as it was stuck again. I suggested to Ron that he should go on ahead through the hospital so he wouldn't be late while I parked the car. Shortly a security guard told me I had to move. They had closed the lot for security reasons as some cars were parked incorrectly. I then circled around for 15 minutes looking for a space to park. I am late and I have Ron's injection with me so I hurried to the clinic (4 blocks). When we returned to our car, we found the $30 ticket. I had a Cancer Clinic Parking Permit on my dashboard so they knew the vehicle belonged to a cancer patient. I submitted a review form with pictures to the Parking Enforcement. They sent me an email reducing my fine to $27 and extended my deadline 9 more days.
Patients and caregivers do not need this stress and frustration!
