Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Lazy cheap businesses ... Pedestrians are customers too! Clearing your parking lot for driving customers isn't enough... That strop of pavement in front of your business lot?its called a sidewalk, most people have these things called legs that we can walk on. And some of us use buses and our feet to get from one place to another... Your parking lot pile that you pushed onto the sidewalk creates a safety hazard. Clean it up... There's a nifty new invention called a shovel that works wonders. I for one am sick of walking down walker road trying to decide if I should navigate knee deep snow and ice piles and twist my ankles or walk thru ankle deep slush puddles on the road risking being hit by a car.
Decemeber 8th - 8:00-8:10am, on Central Ave, heading southbound over the express way. Black Lincoln and Navy Ford fender bender. Looking for witnesses. Accident happened on the over pass of the expressway ( Central Ave.)
I was stopped on the side of the road while my eldest went to pick up his younger sibling from school.
Traffic is passing like any other day...and bam, really loud noise and shock. Someone drove a little too close and their side mirror hit my side mirror. It took me a moment to realize what happened...because they drove by very quickly and did not stop. Significant damage...
Very thankful it wasn't a child because children are everywhere at that time!!!
Merry Christmas to whomever you are who hit me and didn't even stop. I guess I will ask Santa for a new side mirror.
I need to rant a little. Last night while my husband and I were being Mr. @ Mrs, Claus at a children's party at the legion some one stole my husband's suitcase that had his winter coat and gloves in it. Being it was below zero when we left the poor man had to go home in only his golf shirt. I hope the person who took it is reading this and feeling ashamed of themself. Maybe you needed the suitcase "to go on vacation" LOL. Obviously you didn't know the coat was inside so we want you to wear it and be warm this winter.
As a frequent guest to the Tec. Mall food court, I was shocked to see the treatment employees at the Subway endured by an employee of the HGS several days ago. I was in line behind the woman when she asked for ice to go with a cold drink from the fridge and when given the cup the store provides, she demanded a larger cup with a lid. When the employee explained that she had to charge full price for the cup since they kept count of those ones, she had flipped her lid about the price, yelling over to tell her friend at another food place that the girl was down right refusing her ice. Shame on this girl for not being more understanding and accepting what she was given and kudos to the fast food worker for keeping a level head about it.
To the lady at FreshCo Huron Church tonight,
I could tell by the way you barged in front of everyone to get through the grocery store door first that obviously you were having a bad day which is understandable because everyone has them. Your young son stopped to hold the door open for me but accidentally went through the same time you were trying to get your cart through the door. You stopped, yelled at him to get behind you, told him he can't do that, and gave him a dirty look. I felt so bad because he was just trying to do something nice and kids displaying manners like that is so rare these days. You continued to rage around the store and when I crossed paths with you again you were telling your son that you were going to punch him in the face. I wish I had been able to say something to you, to stick up for your son who you decided to bully. I hope today was a fluke, and most other days you are kinder to your child.
Tonight between 6:15 and 6:20, a black pickup truck hit me and drove off. I was heading north on Howard Ave, right before Irvine street. Basically right before the Howard & Tecumseh intersection. He was attempting to merge into the right lane (in a hurry, as his tires were squeeling). He nailed the entire side of my car, didn't even break, and sped off to turn right onto Tecumseh Rd. If anyone was there when this happened and got the license plate, please let me know. Or if anyone sees an older model black pickup truck with damage to the passengers side, or with gold paint transfer, also let me know.
Tuesday December 6 at 11:35 a.m. I was hit on Albert & Milloy. The lady that hit my car causing me to spin out had ran a stop sign. At least she had the decency to get out of her car and ask if myself and my fiancee were OK, once I started call 911 ( my car was not drivable) she took off in her car leaving only her front license plate behind. Turns out stolen plates. If anyone see a silver Nissan Altima newer model with damage to front end on her passenger side as well as missing the plastic piece to hold up license plate please call the police. The driver was a 24-30 year old female. Not only did she hit & run but caused some back pain in both our backs for driving so fast. I hope the police find you. Shame on you leaving me with nothing but headaches, and no car to get to my full time job.
