Stolen Snowmobile and Trailer

On Thursday Nov 26 around 230am -250am on Caille Ave in Belle River our snowmobile trailer was stolen with 2 snowmobile inside. The trailer was just located yesterday on Rhodes drive off Central but the trailer was empty.

If anyone has any information or can help us identify this Jeep that would have a trailer hitch, possibly over sized tires, or knows anyone that has similar sled on marketplace please let us know by contacting the police.

We had a neighbour help find footage of them driving away with it and working on getting a better picture.

I have been so impressed with the way Windsor has been doing with the covid rules and keeping our numbers down, but this incident rubbed me the wrong way. I recently went to get my hair cut. Very clean and needed appointment. When l got there, l was screened. One of the questions, have you been around someone who has been around a positive covid patient. Yes l have. My daughter is a PSW worker. Well they said, we cannot cut your hair. Our owners do not want the liability, really l said? So you are not allowing any essential workers to get their haircuts? No we cannot. Their last question was - are you an essential worker. This is so unfair to all our health care workers, truck drivers, etc that have put their lives at risk to save ours and they cannot be treated to a haircut. I will have to find a new place to go.

Zipper merging

I know this has been talked about A LOT in Windsor, but with EC row under construction I feel the need to say it again. The correct way to merge at a merge zone is to ZIPPER MERGE (take turns) from both lanes AT the merge point! Cars should not be lined up for 3 km in a straight line while drivers try to block the people attempting to do it right. There are signs that say, take turns. This means zipper merging, NOT forming a single file line. Windsor has trouble grasping this concept....but with practice I believe it can be done. So please......ZIPPER MERGE PEOPLE!

Avoid this pick up truck

I was at Stop sign about to turn right at County 42 but was waiting for a white Ford SUV to pass by. The pick up truck behind me couldn't wait and honked his horn. Of course, I turned super slow as I was teaching my son how to drive. But then he sped up (where the turning left lane is at the airport), tried to pass me and I ended up going to the side road with gravel. Good thing , there is no ditch or I would have fallen into it with my two grown up children. Way to set an example to new drivers!!!

Please teach your children how to handle animals

While at my vet's office in East Windsor, I observed a woman and a young child leaving, getting into a vehicle with 2 dogs. One dog looked to be like it could be the mother dog and the other, a puppy under a year old, maybe. The child, maybe six or seven years old had the young dog on a leash. As the back car door slid open , I was horrified to see the child yank the dog by the neck, like it was a ragdoll, stuffed animal, suitcase, that she had to get in the vehicle. Absolutely no regard for this poor young dog, poor baby actually. Please teach your children how to safely handle and behave around animals or don't get them!

Dear Drive Thru Karen

I would to first off say to the lady who came through the drive thru at the McDonald's on Manning Rd., if you were already having a bad day I am sorry that you were, and if you weren't then you should be ashamed.
The debit/ credit was down and not just at this specific location, it was posted at the drive thru before entering the lane and at the door before entering the store, and yet you continued to drive through, and up to the speak where you then yelled at the employee on the other end about how "they should know if the machine is working or not for credit, and now you are stuck in a line you can't get out of" despite already being told that was not working, and being apologized too.
Well I was that person and I'm not ok with the attitude you gave me. I have dealt with rude customers before, and especially during this horrible Covid-19 situation, as I have been working since this all started.
I however can not control what an electronical device can or can not do, we were all trying our best today despite the circumstances, and you not only yelled at me but my manager too, who also did not deserve the treatment you dished out.
Life happens and some things are out of our control...this was one of them.
I had to get this off my chest. Thank you.

Watch your dogs!

To the house in the 1800 block of Westcott with the 2 dogs that run the neighbourhood, your dogs almost got hit on Tecumseh Rd. I saw them running and went out to get them and bring them back as well as another neighbour, only to be greeted by your son? or son's friend who was screaming to a kid and the dogs to Get the F inside. I know this is a regular occurrence and I know the Humane Society and I believe police have been involved for the one dog going after a girl. PS, your bigger dog isn't that friendly and should be watched better. Also, the boys at the door we're very rude to another neighbour when she told them they need to clean up the dog poop on her grass from your dog....That is responsible pet ownership! 🤦‍♀️
