Distructive Plow Driver

Hey plow truck driver driving on 3500 block of Tecumseh Rd. West at approx 5:45 pm, Tuesday.
Yes, you were spotted clipping the light pole with your plow, causing the light to fall from the top. You can't even claim ignorance because you stopped and looked, watched a car hit the light, then you drove away.
Driving an Amico plow truck so not a city worker and therefore probably didn't report it.
Shabby, shabby work.

No!! I do NOT have change!!

I truly don't understand why so many people who are purchasing items from others via various sites like Kijiji and Facebook, show up to purchase an item and DON'T have change. I mean seriously. I'm not a store. I'm a person just like you. Trying to sell an item I no longer need. If you come KNOWING the item is $15. Please don't show up at my door with a $20 bill and ask if I have change. It is just ridiculous. And then, when I tell you that I do not have change, don't get irritated about that fact. Just show up with the amount own. It will make both of our lives much easier.

GARDA security woman can't mind her own business

We had a fire alarm in my building tonight because some idiot decided to pull one. Previously we've had other instances of this, and some malfunctions of the system (that's what they told us, but now I'm thinking maybe they just didn't want to tell us some idiot was pulling them).

So tonight at past 2am I get down there to find out if it's for real or not so my dad maybe doesn't have to get up (he's 79 but in great shape), and so maybe, just maybe, the 90 year old woman across the hall from us doesn't.

I was complaining, I don't mind saying. I said with a small crowd of people around "This is ridiculous. It's two times a month now" and she opens her big yap and says "If you don't like it why don't you leave?"

I thought maybe she worked for the building, so I asked "And who do you work for?"

She pulls her finger across the logo on her jacket like it's supposed to mean something and says "GARDA".

I said "Oh, in this building?"

She said "No".

I said "Ehhh... I think I'll keep complaining".

Apparently she thinks working for a security company imbues one with all sorts of authority, because she became quite agitated and when I came back in after popping outside she turned her back so as to avoid me.

I felt like asking her to sign the petition that all security personnel have at least a room temperature IQ. I mean, if I really want to offend her, that would do it.

Miss Have a Problem, you've been spotted.

Snow plow rip off....

The city of windsor kills me. Tonight (with many other nights) I have seen plow truck drivers with the blade down sparking, supposedly cleaning already clean roads, (and don't tell me they were cleaning up the curb area bc I know they were already done as I drove passed 30 mins prior and noticed they were clean) and to my knowledge getting paid for blade down time. Jefferson avenue has been clear for hours already! Why are you doing it AGAIN when side roads are atrocious. It isn't a bus route, it isn't covered in ice or snow?? Here is the kicker....when he got to tecumseh road...HE BLEW A RED LIGHT! So Mr.Coco driver, 6244 Schmidt truck...I figured I'd let you know not only am I calling to complain but my husband video taped you blowing a CLEARLY RED LIGHT.

Who ticked off Mother Nature?????

All right who did it????

Which one of you ticked off Mother Nature????

Someone here in Windsor has OFFENDED her and now she's punishing the rest of us with an endless winter.

Now I believe I speak on behalf of most of my fellow Windsorites when I ask that whoever the guilty party is that you immediately find some way to atone for your actions and make her happy again so we all can experience spring.

And we would really appreciate it if you did it sooner rather than later.

WHO. EVER. YOU. ARE. FIX. IT. NOW!!!!!

Thank you for your attention.

snow on wheels!

It is beyond my understanding how or why anyone would attempt to drive a vehicle that is not properly cleaned off. Cleaning off a little peep through spot on your windshield and on your back window is soooooo not safe - BLIND SPOTS! Then there are those who don't take the time to clean off their headlights or taillights. How are other drivers supposed to see you when its snowing or whiteout conditions? ACCIDENTS waiting to happen! Please not just for your own safety, but for other drivers out on the roadways, CLEAN OFF YOUR VEHICLES PLEASE! It is the law! Also, just as a side note, especially to new drivers on the roads, DO NOT engage cruise control when the roadways are wet, even if its just a light misting of rain, you can lose control of your vehicle very quickly.

When it snows...

Dear neighbour with the only driveway on the block - each snowfall this winter I have seen you come out of your house and park your car on the road. Not only does this make it hard for those of us who don't have the luxury of a driveway to park but it actually goes against what the city needs for plowing, as they ask for cars to be off the road as much as possible. We have a lot of elderly people and young families and to watch people walk almost a block because you have parked one and a half car lengths on the street breaks my heart - especially in this weather. Please be mindful of that. P.S: your neighbour who walks down the block shovels your sidewalk each snowfall without a mention.

Desperate single mother looking for full-time work

This morning I drove 20 minutes to The Job Shoppe in Tecumseh to apply for a position I seen on a kijiji add last night for a produce grader out in Kingsville or Leamington & was told to look into another agency because of my lack of experience.

I realize my lack of experience is a problem but I am sure there could have been other jobs available for me if I didn t qualify for this specific job. Although instead of this lady who worked there to try to help me find something more suitable for me I was turned away. I thought her JOB was to help me find a JOB. Am I wrong to feel this way? I drive and clearly have no problem driving a far distance to make money considering the job I went to apply for was all the way out in Kingsville or Leamington and I live in Windsor. I am extremely responsible and punctual; I don t party and would be at work every day, as well as on time. I am a hard worker; all my previous employers have said so about me.

I am going back there tomorrow to hand in another resume until someone gives me a job so I can keep a roof over my head and feed my family.
