Hit & Run turns into Car Chase

My son and I were talking in our apartment when we heard a long loud horn and a bang. I said that soundedlike an accident and my son looked out side to see two young people in a older white van back out of visitor parking right into a cab that was parked at the front doors.

Instead of getting out and apologizing, they took of at high speed with the cab chasing after them.

My 14yr old says I think some people play too many video games, hitting cars and taking off like that.

Occurred in apartment parking lot around Sterling and Riverside around 11pm.

Intentional Run-Over

This evening my boyfriend and I were driving Westbound on Riverside around 10:30pm at night and noticed some young middle school aged kids huddled around something on the eastbound lane of Riverside and Parent.

The kids claimed that a car (they didn't give a description) had purposefully sped up to hit a cat. Well he actually succeeded and these kids were trying to make sure the cat didn't get run over more. My boyfriend picked the dead cat up by the scruff of its neck and placed it on the grass away from the road. Anyways the cat is in kitty heaven now. Just in case it belongs to someone it was an adult sized white and orange cat. Just wanted to post this so that in the hopes that if it does belong to someone that they can go and see and give it a proper burial. We took it off the road so one of the kids didn't get hit as they were standing in the road as cars were driving by but we didn't have time to stick around and dispose of it.
It didn't have a collar or anything so it may have been ferral, but I have a cat and it never wears its collar so if it had gotten hit by a car I'd like to know so I could give it a proper burial.

Police presence

To the three officers planted on 18/ expressway blocking the road closure. Right at the McDonald's and Tim hortons. I want you to know I see you lounging and relaxing up against your vehicles. Albeit your shift might be a slow one. You should know that your vocabulary of cussing was heard loud and clear right into my daughters ears. You, my inappropriate "friends" now officially owe them $4 into their swear jar. Congrats.

Slow Down!!!!

To the person in the white SUV who looked to be about a 20-25 years old male, you came very close to seriously injuring or killing my kids and I. I am still shaking I'm so upset. My two children and I were crossing at the crosswalk outside Devonshire mall at the Target Entrance at 2:45 today. We were halfway across the street when you came flying by and literally came feet from hitting us. You saw us and you chose to fly past us and beat us to avoid having to wait until we crossed. You would have been waiting a lot longer had you hit us, and your life as well as ours would have been changed forever. Slow down and pay attention!!!!! You scared not only me but my children. I only wish I would have got your liscence plate.

E-bikes are vehicles too

To the women Driving the small grey car LP # ACLL- *** at the corner of Dougal and Techumseh round 2 pm today. I hope getting to the hardware store was so important as to almost hit me on my e-bike.
Making a left turn from the left hand turn lane, on to Techumseh Rd. West from Dougal, for an e-bike is like any other vehicle, I must obey the law and go left lane to left lane. I was in the process of doing this when you decided since the light was going yellow to gun your engine and swerve around me into the right lane, then swerve around the parked car, almost hitting me twice.
I have no choice, I must obey the law. If a screwdriver or something from the hardware store is that important, maybe give yourself a little extra time to get there instead of rushing like a mad women!

Badly Behaved

I just wanted to extend a HUGE Thank You to the family at the crowded and busy Pizza Hut on Dougall Thursday evening for ruining my meal

You allowed your misbehaved 5 year old child cry (no tears) and whine at the top of his lungs for 30 minutes without disciplining him. It obviously didn't occur to you that you were at a restaurant with 6 other tables of paying customers who went out to enjoy a meal.

The behaviour that you allowed your child to continuously display may be tolerable at your own kitchen table, but you should be aware and courteous of others when you bring your child out. It seemed as though it didn't even phase you that everyone else in the restaurant was extremely bothered and disrupted by your child's screaming and whining.
Even the one and only waitress was annoyed and stressed out by your son and his disruptive display.

You could have stepped outside with him until he settled down, or better yet, cancel your order and took the child home to bed where he most likely belonged at 9:30 at night. Shame on you.

Signed… Annoyed by your lack of parenting skills.

Opinions differ

To the young lady at the car wash on Lauzon rd who took it upon herself to eavesdrop on a conversation about cancer research I was having with the nice cashier. Shame on you for trying to make her feel guilt for having an opinion different than yours especially when it wasn't directed at you. Like you we have all lost loved ones from that horrible disease but we live in a great country that allows us to form our own opinions. I am sorry for your recent loss but next time you over hear an opinion you don't agree with and was not said in a rude or hurtful manner maybe you should just walk away from the conversation you weren't a part of anyway.
