Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I understand paying for parking can be annoying but you still need to follow the rules on parking signs. This vehicle is in fact parked right next to a "no parking" sign and to top it of you're blocking a bit of my drive way. Thanks for that. I really hope in the future you park with caution in an area where it is aloud to park.
I was driving into work downtown the other day at about 4 p.m. and noticed an older Asian gentleman running down the street, carrying a bag and waving at the bus he had obviously just missed. The bus stopped at the light on Goyeau, waiting to turn east on University. I pulled alongside and honked my horn to get the operator's attention. In the meantime this man was still running like mad and screaming for the driver to stop. I gestured that a person was attempting to catch his bus but this arrogant driver simply shook his head and flipped his hand in dismissal. As the light turned green and he was able to proceed, the running man had actually caught up to the bus but would have had to enter traffic to board it. As I turned west, I gasped when I looked in my rear-view mirror and watched the bus zoom along University, not even considering pulling over while the man crossed the street. I am horrified for that desperate, running man, and shocked by the behavior of one insulting, pompous Transit Windsor bus driver. How dare he! I have seen many, many bus drivers pull over to let someone on, even if it wasn't at a designated bus stop. It's just courtesy. Hell, it's just the moral thing to do. Do you really think someone on that bus would complain that he's stopping and taking up an extra five seconds of their trip? What has this world come to for such mean-spirited behavior? Seriously, I just shake my head.
To the woman at the East End Walmart who felt the need to give me rude input on my life decisions, you have been spotted. I ran into my friend who was congratulating me on my upcoming 1st wedding anniversary and asking me if we planned on having children. I told my friend that we weren't (due to lack of interest, but the reasons are not important). Suddenly, this unknown woman proceeded to interject into our conversation and tell me how selfish I was (Note: She pointed out MY selfishness, not the selfishness of my husband). She then went on to say that life will be meaningless without children in it and asked "Why would you even get married if you didn't want to experience the miracle of babies?"
I like kids. I work with them and I revel in delight when I am with my nieces and nephews..I just have no desire to have my own. Oh, by the way, neither does my husband.
Thank you, unknown woman, for you input. It was greatly treasured and, rest assured..the RUDE comments from a stranger has definitely inspired me to reproduce.

Today at approx. 4:45 at Devonshire Mall, there was a Vet's Cab parked in a handicapped parking space in front of the TD Bank / Tim Horton's entrance. While the mall may have taken out the taxi stand at this location for whatever reason, this does NOT give you the entitlement to infringe upon city bylaws and take spots reserved for the disabled. You would be the first to call Parking Enforcement if a regular car was parked in a taxi stand, so what makes you so different? By using these spots as Taxi stands, you set a bad public image of your company. The paying customer sees the name on the door, not the driver. By conducting business in this manner, you set a bad example and image for all of your co-workers as well. To the driver of Vet's Cab Number 168, YOU sir have been SPOTTED!
Does anyone know if this was Petcoke being transported down the river uncovered (on a windy stormy day no less) on Tuesday afternoon? Curious, especially given all the controversy surrounding the storage of Petcoke recently.
While the prices are amazing there and worth lining up for 20 - 30 minutes to get good gas pricing... Please shut off your cars in line. It kinda defeats the purpose of saving on gas. No Brainer.
I took my children to play at the Little River Ancres Park and there I spotted some broken playground equipment. It needs to be fixed.
My friend took this photo DEVONSHIRE MALL. This is what children are wearing to go to the mall. I used to work in Devonshire mall across from the restrooms & I'd watch young girls go into the bathroom normal clothed & come out with tiny skirts & crop tops. They hide their provocative clothes in their purses & change in the bathrooms to walk around half naked. Parents be aware of what your children are wearing! Teach them self respect! This is not okay. I would not want any grown man seeing my child's butt cheeks. If this young women wet to bend over I don't even want to know what else would show.
