You scared the crap out of me then stuck hand out your window to flip me off. You had a stop sign and I didn't. How dare you flip me off when you were the one in the wrong. To all the consumers of Windsor/ Essex county. Working a retail job, I never hear the end of how "this is an emergency purchase, I'd much rather buy in the US." Then proceeding to tell me how terrible everything is in our current economy. Why are US prices good? Yes, the dollar is one reason. Canadian prices suck because you don't spend here. No jobs for your kids? You don't spend your money here, therefore it can't aid in economic growth!! Bottom line is, you want to keep your town in business? Keep your business in town. Otherwise things will never change.

Around 4pm this afternoon a Mini-van and a Truck crashed near the corner of Sandwich and Chewitt.
The two drivers were taken to hospital.

In 1977 my brother married...wife had a good job...they had 2 sons. In 1994 his wife decides to quit her job...then in 1995 she decides to divorce him. Child support was awarded, $800.00 a month rightfully so.
During this time she alledged a phobia and fought with disability and in the end was rewarded with a permanent disability and has never worked again.
His oldest son turned 21...his child support payment for him turned into spousal support..now he paid $880.00 a month.
In 2006 his youngest son turned 21all funds went to spousal support for $925.00 a month.
My brother has lived in city housing driving a run down vehicle while she owns a home and drives a brand new car!
So be it...my brother and the govt continue taking care of her....
By 2010 my brothers health was suffering...majorly due to stress and financial issues. His doctor put him on a short term disability that 6 months later became permanent.
The FRO continued to be paid her support through the insurance company her full amount even though his income had lowered substantially!
He has no money for lawyers and courts so he had no options but to accept whatever her lawyers thought duable!
My family had enough and jan 2013 took him to a lawyer and told her we wanted his case to be brought before a judge in hopes that her support would be lowered due to the many years she had been receiving it and to the major decrease in his income. After giving this lawyer $3,000.00 the end result was a mediator that suggested to the ex wives lawyer that she agree to $500.00 a month now...due to the history here.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME! It was the ex wifes decision!
No brainer that she declined and now the lawyer told us it would be anothet $8,000.00 at least to take this case in front of a judge .Criminal!
To date...his ins benefits were lowered and the ins company lowered what they paid the FRO for her..she went to her MP and last week back to back my brother received letters from the FRO and the Dept of Justice that he is in the rears and his disability pension is going to be garnisheed! REALLY!
When is enough....Enough!
Apparently justice only goes for whoever has the means and income for lawyers!
I hope his ex wife sleeps well at night!

I just wanted to say thank you ever so much to the fine young man that we ran into today. Here are the details. As approx. 1:33 pm today, on Tecumseh Road east right in front of Home Depot, my husband and I were heading east on Tecumseh Road, East, when this fine young man in a white pick up truck decides to cut us off, then he decides to brake and then he turns into Tim Hortons. My husband did nothing to this fine young man. We stopped the car because of the actions of this Fine young man as my husband was aggitated because this young man cut us off, put his brakes on. And then this fine young man decides to give us the finger and with his hand gestures us to get into a fight with him. He kept doing this a few times. I told my husband to just go. So to this fine young man, YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED!!

Only in Colchester

I live in Colchester and I love my dog! So when I see a man in an electric scooter walking his dog with no leash it burns me up.. No leash, he whistles for the dog to follow (maybe husky or mix) .. The dog was 20 or more feet away from the road at my kitchen window .. If the dog did his business on my lawn, I would pick it up (since the man had a hard time moving around) but what about the dogs safety? A stray animal could claw that poor dog

A woman on a tiny dirt bike does the same thing with 2 dogs this time (I am sure 1 is the same dog) now I see the dogs running as fast as they can go down the middle of the road .. Way to fast for an everyday excerise and blowing her whistle at 8am .. Really?

today while shopping at Zehrs Manning someone left a nice little note on my door reading " if your truck is too big to park maybe you should get a smart car"
