White SUV Speaker Scam

I just wanted to warn people of a speaker scam going on in Windsor. Yesterday my brother was approached by two individual (a girl and boy in mid twenties) in a white SUV. They claimed to have speakers for sale that are worth $3200 dollars for $500 . The claimed to be working with a company that had an extra shipment of 3 Orumrohn r 15 speakers and that their employer doesn't know and there selling them cheap. My brother didn't think anything of it because they had brochures and and when he scanned the bar code with his phone it took him to a website which confirmed what they said. So he went ahead and bought them. When I saw them and searched on the product, it turned out to be a scam that has been going on even in California and the speakers are cheap speakers in a fake box.

So i just wanted to warn people so they don't get ripped off like my brother below is a link with more info on a white van speaker scam.

Stolen Bike

Yesterday between 1:30 and 2:00pm my son stopped at the Little Caeser's in Central Mall. He leaned his bike up at the window, went in and ordered, turned around to check on the bike and it was gone. It's, actually, my husband's Jeep Comanche mountain bike. They don't even make them anymore and my husband has had his over 10 years and it was still like new and well taken care of. I really hope you needed that bike, young man, and didn't just steal it to sell it!!! It's unfortunate, but true, you have to lock your things up, even if for only 2 mins. Sad fact of life these days.

Young girl on Adstoll

To the young girl on adstoll ave this afternoon. Staring at traffic defiantly as you worked at removing a construction sign off the fence where they demolished the arena. One, someone has worked hard to purchase those signs, and you have the gall to poach one in broad daylight! Two, you're already starting down the wrong path, please turn back while you still can. Three, would you like someone to deface your property whilst grinning and taking such pleasure in doing so??? Thievery and vandalism is just so. I hope your mother finds that sign under your bed and teaches you a well deserved lesson.

Signed, the disappointed parent

Driving is not a video game

Today (Sunday, October 19th) about 1:00 pm heading west on Tecumseh. You were driving a Chrysler Neon. Do you know that when you drive in a lot of traffic that it is NOT a video game? Tecumseh is not your personal speed track. When you zip in and out of traffic changing lanes, without signaling, and leaving only inches to spare when you floor it ......you are stunting. Driving a car in busy traffic is not a challenge to you to play Fast and Furious. The only points you will get will be demerits when the police charge you with any number of charges, stunting, reckless driving, undo care and attention......the list can probably go on. There are no extra lives you get to use,, there is no reset button. Life is not GTO . It is REAL. Driving a car is REAL. The next time you decide to stunt drive down Tecumseh I really hope that there is a cop around, so that you don't kill an innocent person, or even yourself.......

Disappointed Behavior

To the woman whos' young son was punched in the shoulder by a old man at Lauzon Mcdonald's this morning around 10-10:30 for your information that front service area is under surveillance if you need anymore proof. And to the old man you are how old do you really need a refresher on how to be human?

Bad service from a Tavern in Windsor

I wanted to make everyone aware of the bad experience with a Tavrn yesterday. We ordered 5 pizzas for my son's birthday party. When it arrived it was smashed (pictures included). It looked as if it was put in the boxes too hot and slid around during delivery. When we called to tell them they accused us of dropping the pizzas. We told them that we did not and they told us they would call us back. When they called back they said that they have video that their delivery driver did not drop the pizzas while loading into van and again said that we must have dropped them. We did not have the time to reorder the 5 pizzas as we had 40 guests to feed. I was so embarrassed to have to present this pizza to our guests. When my husband went back to the tavern after the party to show them the picture they still claimed it was not their fault and said they would give us $20 back. That's the best they could do. We paid $95 plus tip so in my opinion, not acceptable. I am very disappointed in the way this business conducted themselves. Please be vigilant and remember to check your pizza before the driver leaves.

Bad Deal

So there's a woman on Isabelle Place who has a Wheelchair Lift and Stair lift that she had installed in her home 7-8 years ago. Instead of selling it to you (me) she asks for work to be done in the house and yard in exchange for the accessible items. Because my son is severely disabled and I am struggling financially I pull him backwards up my deck steps to get him into the house because I already hired someone to build a ramp and they took the money and ran. SO.... I really needed this equipment (mostly just the lift because he doesn't need to go downstairs and our home is mostly accessible inside) I did write up a contract with her and I worked for 2 weeks doing everything she asked. Each day she added a new task and then one day I went to do a clean up of the completed work and the door was locked and she didn't answer. She didn't answer her phone or her messages on text. She had no complaints about the work I did and I did a great job! She did mention that her sister didn't think it was a good idea in or around the second last day I was there. So now she's refusing to reciprocate or stick with our deal and I am so heartbroken and exasperated that someone would do this...... It's been a week since the last day I was there and I've now sent her a bill for the hours in lieu of receiving the lift. What JUST occurred to me is that I am not the only person she has done this too and has done it before and will continue to do it. So I wanted to warn people who are in need. DO NOT do anything for this woman her name starts with "D" (not sure if spotted lets you put a name) and she lives on Isabelle Place. She comes across as sweet and christian and believable, but she is nothing but a user (loser). Actually I'm the loser for trusting her.

Do your Research on Scotia Personelle Ltd

I recently applied to a few jobs posted via indeed being offered by a company called Scotia Personelle Ltd. These were jobs such as Au Pairs, waitressing in the Caribbean etc. Upon receiving a phone call I decided to try and do a little research prior to phoning the company back. I found many posts which indicated horrible experiences with this company along with many red flags. The few postings I did find that were positive seemed as though the company themselves may have written it. I'm not discouraging anyone from applying however I'd proceed with caution as I'd hate for anyone wanting a wonderful experience to be given the run around or go through a big headache. If anyone has had any experiences with this company I'd be I'd be interested in hearing them. Just looking out for fellow Windsorites
