Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
There are wonderful people in this world and Gary is one of them. With so much on my mind lately I left my purse in the grocery cart at Zehrs (Manning). This fine gentleman named Gary personally delivered it to my house (Belle River). Of course I had already started driving back to the store so he gave it to my husband. I did not get a chance to thank you. Your kindness is so greatly appreciated. Bless you and thank you again.
I saw you, last night, we all did. We saw you being so kind and giving the older lady with a walker a lift home after she shopped at Dollarama in Riverside, and had so many bags. She intended to take a taxi, but it had just stormed, and looked like it was about to rain again, when you explained to her, kindly and gently, that you and your daughter would be giving her a lift home instead. You were wonderful. I saw you, your goodness means something. & lt;3
My boyfriend and I were at the bus stop on Wyandotte east near the mcdonalds. She had fallen off the bus, landing flat on her right side with her walker on top of her. We helped her and stayed with her until the paramedics took her home. I am trying to find her to check in and see how she is feeling. She is a very sweet woman, and I'd like to just be able to visit her. See how she's feeling and possibly may even be able to help her with certain things. So she doesn't have to worry about falling off the bus again. If anyone knows of this woman, please contact me.
To the girl working at the Devonshire mall Booster Juice, 6pm on Thursday June 22. I'm the mom who surprisingly had cash but unfortunately had to come back for a second large marathon, no banana, in a matter of 20 minutes. You gave me a good laugh, a delicious pick me up, twice, and made my day. You rock dude, just wanted to say thanks again :)
I wanted to say thank you to the wonderful man at Metro on Wyandotte today who bought me two beautiful hanging baskets.
After experiencing health issues in grade 9 and 10 which left him requiring assistance for many daily activities, Nick Harris realized more than ever the difficulties faced by people with disabilities who do not always have as much independence.
Nick had an idea that would create a more inclusive environment at his school, and ensure that accommodations were made so that everyone could participate in the school activities. Nick applied for 3 grants to cover the cost of raised garden beds that would be accessible for people who use wheelchairs and walkers.
Next year the Life Skills at F. J. Brennan Catholic High School Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board class will be responsible for leading the garden programs and Nick is helping the Life Skills teacher - Mr. Frias (who has already been a big help on this project!!) to develop the curriculum.
Thank you to the students at St. Joseph's Catholic High School in the woodshop for preparing the boards and putting together the garden beds.
Thank you to Community Living Ontario for covering the cost of the construction of the garden beds.
Thank you to The Windsor Essex County Environment Committee for covering the cost of the soil to go in the gardens.
Thank you to World Wildlife Fund for covering the cost of the plants to be planted soon.

to the gentleman named Francis who went out of his way to help me get a washer. I moved into my place over almost 2 months ago and I have piles of laundry unfortunately with not having a washer only a dryer I was handwashing clothes which becomes hard on the hands. I put an ad out just even looking for a washer even one I'd buy but instead this kind man bought one and also has it being delivered. You have been spotted and thank you for the washer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
