Faith in humanity

I have always believed that there is more good in people than bad today proved it to me.
I was shopping at metro on the east side, I am in a wheelchair at the check out a very nice gentleman in front of me turned and offered to help me empty my basket, I thanked him and said I could manage. He proceeded to check his groceries out. Then he just stood there as the girl was ringing up my purchases l thought he was waiting for something, he used his card and walked away. When I offered the girl my card she told me that the gentleman had paid for my stuff. I really didn't know what to say it was the nicest thing that has ever happened to me. I hope he sees this post as I want him to know how much I appreciated his kindness. Thank you again.

Godsent angel

My 4 year old daughter has been wanting a bike for a while now and I promised her to get one soon. As we were passing by SportChek at Devonshire mall she saw the bikes and decided to try it. My daughter was sitting on the bike when a beautiful young lady came up and said I would like to buy it for her please. I said no way thank you so much for offering but she insisted and gave me the cash for it. I hugged her and thanked her but I want to thank her again for making my daughter's and my day. I have been thinking all day about how kind you are and I pray that God grants you whatever it is you want. Jordan you have been spotted! God bless your beautiful soul!! & lt;3

Hit & Run at the Mall

To the inconsiderate person who hit this poor persons car at the mall this afternoon you should be ashamed of yourself. This is far more then a light scratch, you took the bumper right off. Is this how you want your property treated? You ruined someone's day and put stress and financial burden on another because you were too cowardly to fess up. I'm urging anyone that parked by chapters around 3pm to call Devonshire security with any information. I hope you realize the parking lot is monitored by cameras so you will most likely be caught. Do the right thing and call security.

Paramedics stretched too thin

On Wednesday July 5th, I had a fall in my backyard. I broke my ankle and couldn't move. No one was home and I started yelling for help. A neighbours daughter from behind us heard me and said she was coming. She had to come all the way around the block and when she found me she called 911 and my husband for me. To her and her husband, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was in a lot of pain and very frightened.
Here is the problem, I laid on the ground unable to get up for two hours waiting for the ambulance. When they arrived they apologized and told me why this happened. There were 5 ambulances tied up at Hotel Dieu Campus and the other two were taking care of calls that were based on priority, which I understand. The bad part is there are ambulances not being used because they don't want to hire more paramedics.
This NEEDS to be addressed to our councillors all over the city. If we all do so, maybe this won't happen to someone else. Luckily my family and neighbour Kim came to my aid during this long period of time, keeping me as comfortable as possible.
To the ambulance attendance, a big thank you, I'm so sorry I don't remember your names but I won't forget your kindness and compassion towards me.
