Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I hopped the Central 3 near downtown after work to get to Purolator to pick up a package. I was fully prepared to need to walk a significant distance to get back home, since I knew I would get off the last 3 to travel back downtown tonight. When I got off the driver flagged me back to ask me where I was going, and offered to drop me off right in front of the store (saving me a few minutes of walking). He then offered to wait a few minutes for me to get my package so I could take the bus back home. To the gentleman driving bus 613 on the Central 3 tonight, I am very grateful for your kindness!
To the dad and his two boys cleaning up the parking lot at metro when I was leaven work. Good job on teaching your kids how to do such a good job, we need more parents like you
Recently purchased a home and had to almost immediately have our personal sewer connection entirely replaced right into the house. Had a quote from a company and wasn't impressed. They didn't even come into the house to see what they would be dealing with. Pannunzio Drainage Inc, a Windsor based family owned company came in to do the quote. Marco was incredibly helpful and spent about an hour talking with me about my options and gave me his opinion. We originally opted for a repair only as it was the cheaper option but after a backup and a phone call to Marco we decided to do the full replacement. We were scheduled in very quickly and I am incredibly pleased with the work. They went above and beyond, to the point of asking me what I'd like done in my front lawn since they had to break out my walkway. Then going to the effort of digging the new walkway out for us and acquiring a temporary fix of patio stones until we could properly finish it.
I can't say enough about this company and their work.
Joane From Michael's craft store was kind enough to share her pinhole box with my boyfriend and I so we could view the Eclipse. It made a bad day great. Thank you so much!
I was at uptown on August 20th for breakfast just my son and I(he's almost 2 years old). He was a little bit cranky and crazy like most 2 years old are, especially in restaurants. There was a younger boy working there and after about five minutes of being there he gave my son a little toy truck that he absolutely loved!!! It kept him busy until our food came out. Every time my son dropped something he'd rush to pick it up for us. Whenever he would pass our table he'd give my son a high five which made my son so happy, he loved it. He's never that happy at restaurants! I just wanted to thank that little boy for being so sweet and tell him that he made my day 😊 You can tell that he was raised right!! Thank you again, we'll for sure be coming back!
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Homesense customer who found a credit card on the floor of the store on Sunday and immediately turned it in to customer service. I thought I was in serious trouble when I reached my next destination and discovered it missing, as I had no other means of paying for things for the days it would take to replace it. I am so very grateful my Visa card was found by someone honest! Bless you, and I pray Karma brings you something lovely in return!
I was out to Home Depot to look for a oven bake element but they didn't have the specific one I needed so the employee mentioned to go to Appliance Depot on Tecumseh. I saw the doors were open and couple employees were just outside loading a truck. I waited inside till they came back. He noticed the old element I had in hand and said I'm in need of one. Funny thing was I had no idea they were closed officially on Sundays . He went ahead and allowed me to purchase the element I needed he had in Stock and I Thank Him very Much for helping me out even tho it wasn't an actual open sales day. Great above and beyond customer service.
