Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My daughter lost her wallet at the Cineplex theatre last night at the Devonshire Mall. It was during the last showing of the night therefore she couldn't go back and check an hour later when she realized she must have left it there. We both went to the theatre this morning just before the mall opened and was told by an employee that was jus arriving for work that the doors only opened in 1 hour. I wanted to thank that young girl for relaying my message to her manager that my daughter had lost her wallet the night before. The manager opened the doors within a few minutes of my request and told us that a wallet had been found last night by the cleaning staff. My daughter got her wallet back with everything in it. It is nice to know that there is lots of good people left around that will return your property as it was found. Again thank you young lady for relaying my message to your manager. Thanks to the manager for letting us in and not having to wait an hour until the doors opened. A big HUGE THANK YOU to the cleaning staff for finding the wallet.
Wanting to give a HUGE kudos to the band COASTLINE from Windsor.
Dan, Michael and Dan not only put on a damn good show but they are all around great guys!
They came out to our fundraiser dinner for Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario last night (Saturday) and did it completely for Free!
Not only did they donate their time and talent, they put on a GREAT show! They are absolutely amazing, they played a wide variety of music, something for everyone to enjoy.
If you are looking for entertainment for an event I highly suggest giving Coastline a call. You will not be disappointed!
Thank you Thank You Thank you From the bottom of our hearts. We will be calling you again soon!
To the electrician by trade, prof at the college, who drives a white Edge, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My sister, three kids and I were headed to visit my grandparents and driving in the middle of the construction zone on the 401. My tire blew right off and I pulled over with traffic flying by. You and you wife pulled over and offered your help. Your kind gesture allowed me to stay calm and get through a stressful situation. You took off the old rim and put my donut on, all the while, traffic whizzing by just a few feet away. Many many thanks and I will pay it forward!
A good nurse can change any experience you have in a hospital. Over the weekend my husband and I got to share in the birth of our first baby. Thank you to the amazing nurses we had on the OB floor, Jane, Mel, Sherrie and Mary, you all made our experience better in every way. No question was unanswered and you went over and above to make sure our new little family was taken care of. Another thank you to the lactation consultant Tracey. We appreciate all of your hard work.
Sept 16th the WMFA held their 3rd annual golf tournament at Ambassador Golf Club. I need to acknowledge the fantastic young men and women who worked our tournament. All too often, you hear how disengaged the young people of today are. Well not these guys. They were not only helpful and polite, they smiled, engaged in conversations and were very attentive to our golfers. Great job guys! Thank you for making our golf tournament a successful one. Ambassador, you should be very proud of these young employees!

I just wanted to take a moment to give a huge thumbs up to Ron at the Walker Road Home Depot. After numerous calls and hours upon hours at the Tecumseh Home Depot I was frustrated and left the store in tears. When I showed up at and met Ron at the pro desk at Walker Road I felt like the red carpet had been rolled out. He walked me through the store with my whole list of things that I needed and also reminded me about the things I forgot. Not only was he helping me but when he overheard questions of people that were looking for answers as we were walking he would stop and help them to. Because of his knowledge and the confidence that I had in listening to him I decided to reconstruct what I had had in my head about building my shed to what he suggested. Ron if you're out there I cannot tell you how you turned my frown upside down that day I will never ever go to another Home Depot again my experience with you and Walker Road was absolutely life-changing thank you so much. Take pride in what you do becuase you do it so well. Ride safe. I appreciate you.
I'd like to thank the two ladies who stopped for me on the highway while I was having a panic attack. You don't know how much that meant to me. I can't thank you enough.
Our house was flooded on August 29 as were countless others in the city. Among many other things, our loss included our furnace and hot water tank. The day after the flood I phoned Syles Mechanical to inspect our furnace for insurance purposes. I of course did not expect to see anyone for at least a few days to a week, assuming most of the city was in the safe predicament. They sent someone out the next day at 830 in the morning. Scott was professional and polite and as expected told me that our furnace was a fire hazard a couldn't be used. Again, I did not expect this was going to be a quick fix and again I was wrong. That same day Grant Higginbottom sent a team out to my house and replaced my furnace. I happened to mention to him that I was having trouble getting my hot water tank provider to come out so he replaced that too! Grant, you and your team should be recognized for going above and beyond in making our lives much easier and less stressful during a very stressful time! Thank you!
