Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I just wanted to say thank you to the women in line in front of me, and my two children at freshco( on rivard) Friday April 11th @ 4:00ish. You left my kids each a kinder egg on the grocery belt, and it put a huge smile on my face as well as my two kid's. I know they both made you laugh a bit while waiting to check out:) hope you have a Happy Easter and I did let them eat some before dinner;)
Thank you to the staff at John Maxs & the gentleman that came in & told them last night for being so great & helpful after someone smashed my car window & stole my purse. If anyone happens to find a multi-colored leather purse with flowers on it I would love to get it back even if it's empty.
I want to thank the gentleman from the 24 hour crisis line who spoke with me yesterday. It took everything I had to reach out but I sure needed to yesterday after receiving bad news about my husband's cancer. He will never truly know what he did for me......listening, giving me feedback and most of all helping to once again find my direction and focus. I am once again renewed & re-focused and promise to "use my tools" and pass along positive vibes and help anyone I can :) THANK YOU anonymous angel and good karma will get to you....I have no doubt xo
A HUGE THANK YOU to the person who turned in my husband's cell phone Fri. night after 8:30, Apr. 11/ 14. We tore the car apart and the house, and last resort was the show. My husband drove back to the theater and sure enough someone had turned it in, which was VERY lucky as it wasn't even password protected.
Thanks again! It's so nice to know there are many honest people!!
Last night my mother and I went out to the casino and decided we would hit up hurricanes for their 2-4-1 burgers. We have one particular waitress who always serves us and at one point came over to speak to us months ago regarding my mother having cancer . She explained her mother as well battled cancer and just wanted to let us know my mother as well as our family were always on her mind and in her prayers . Last night once again she was very friendly and asked how everything was going. When it came time to leave we asked for the bill, she came back and told us we were set to go and it was on the house tonight ! ... both my mother and myself were thrown off and confused and myself being a waitress also know of things are wrong or messed up you accommodate customers but that wasn't the case . Instead she took care of our bill and simply told us to enjoy our night all because she said she likes us. It was a nice surprise and touched my heart . Just want to thank that beauty of a person at hurricanes for being so compassionate and caring all the time :)

This has been a rough 2 weeks for me because I have been planning to move out west for work. Telling my dad was the hardest part. He doesn't want me going out there alone with no family or friends. We had a long talk and I told him this is what I needed to do for work. He was trying to convince me its better to stay here and he will help me until I find a better job in my field. He continued to say you are only 19 and I want you to stay here with your family. I made my case and left to my room because of how upset I was. This whole week we would still have coffee in the morning but we wouldn't really talk. This morning I woke up and he wasn't home(he left to visit a friend). I got to work and opened my email. I noticed an email from my dad so I opened it up. The top said "I love you and will always love you, and just below were the details for a flight to Calgary he had booked for me. So to that man who can seem so stubborn at times and so stuck in the past. I love you for making my morning and at the same time making my mascara run. I promise I will make you proud.
Signed your baby girl now and always xox
