Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Out in lakeshore off manning pass 40 this past Sunday. It was pretty crazy, guns drawn it looked really intense.
To the young lady who was so happy she found me to return my sons wallet.
I was at home cooking dinner and I hear a knock at the door. I open it up and I see this young lady(maybe 19) who I at first thought was trying to sell me something. She had the biggest smile on her face and I had no idea why. She asked me if Jack lives here. I said yes that's my son, is something wrong? My son is 11 years old and not sure why this young lady was at the door asking for him. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out Jacks Wallet. It had $11 dollars in it and she handed it over. She asked if I can give him back his wallet(he didn't even know he lost it). She told me she had found it in the parking lot of Tecumseh Mall and noticed his address on a card in it. I asked her why she was smiling so much, she looked like she had won the lottery. She proceeded to tell me about this Facebook page and how she reads so many great stories of acts of kindness, she was so happy to finally have a real opportunity. Now even though the wallet only had $11 and some cards with his name and address on it I can't believe this lady drove all the way to the west end to return it. After she left I jumped onto my computer and checked out this page. Some stories brought tears to my eyes, and I can now see why she was so happy and her face was glowing. So to that lady that came to my door today, thank you for what you did. You made my son happy and you brightened my day....as they say "You have been spotted"
to Daryl Townsend & Tyrone Crawford for leading a group of CFL & NFL players to Windsor to train our youth, and spread awareness on anti-bullying. You guys did an amazing job with the kids, and we wish you the best of luck with your season and future work in the Windsor/ Essex Community.

My husband and I were trying to load some old furniture in our truck on Felix that the previous tenants has left behind. A student from Forster High School and a lady in a car both stopped and offered to help us get it in the truck. We passed on the student because we weren't sure what we wanted to do at that point, but took the lady up on her offer. Thanks so much for stopping and helping us. People in Windsor and the particularly the West End are wonderfully helpful and neighbourly,
Just wanted to give a special shout out to Franklin at Future Shop on Walker Road. Your help was without a doubt some of the best I've ever received. You were patient, kind and very informative. Well done!

This past weekend I experienced some of the best customer service in my life. On Saturday night we went to Komedy Korner and had one of the best waitresses I have ever had. Her name was Landis (sp?) She was so sweet and always addressed everyone by "sweety", "beautiful", "gorgeous"..and many other flattering names. She was AWESOME and deserves to be recognized for her wonderful customer service.
Signed
A happy Customer
After a long cold winter I wondered how my 150 asparagus plants would make out.
Checked on the plants 4 days ago and nothing.
Checked on the plants just now and spotted asparagus is popping up everywhere.
In fact some of the spears are about 6 inches high already.....

I really need everyone's thoughts prayers, thoughts, good vibes, basically whatever you can. I received some terrible news recently and have been having a difficult time dealing with it. After surviving breast cancer 4 years ago, my aunt has learned that the cancer has now spread to her liver, lungs, and her bones. I don't know what to do, what to say. This woman has been there through thick and thin for me and my brother and now it's my turn to be there for her.
