Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Not really in Windsor, but that's where we were ultimately headed...I was traveling with my 4 year old back from Guelph where I had gone to help out a friend for a couple days. The lady across from us leaned over to tell me that she thought my little girl was very well behaved, and that I should be proud of her and of myself.
Thank-you! As a parent it is nice to hear good things; as a parents we are bombarded with what we shouldn't do while raising our kids, rarely hearing that we are doing a good job.
I was at the Tim Hortons on Ouellette and Grand Marais last night with my husband, sister and her fiance, and had AWESOME service by the young lady that goes by Astivia, she was very attentive, very cheerful, and went above and beyond when there was a small glitch with my order. I had ordered the soup deal, which I guess wasn't clear when I placed the order, and I asked her, doesn't a donut come with it, and she ended up giving me the donut anyhow, since it was her mistake.
I did call her manager this morning to give kudos, but wanted to come here and tell you all about it.
Thank you Astivia, we will definitely be back!
Spotted at McDonalds drive-thru on Walker this morning, a JH Restorations employee (?) picking up the tab for me AND the 2 vehicles behind me in line. You made my day, and I'm sure the day of the other 2. Thanks for making me smile, from the girl in the white Range Rover.
I dont post stuff like this but everyone should be a helping hand at all times! I usually have my lunch at work but a week ago I decided to eat outside. While I was on break an older lady fell on her face carrying her groceries and couldnt get up, I ran towards her and looked around while grown men and women were just standing there watching . I helped her up n cleaned her off. She came in today with this and said I was her angel, I tried to hold in my tears while I hugged her ! The smallest gestures to you could mean the world to someone else , SO happy I was there for her, YOU are truly an Angel Nena & thank you very much sweetie, God bless you and keep you safe from danger ! #MadeMyDay #SweetLady #Love
A new restaurant recently opened by my work. Nader's is at the corner of University & Campbell. They have great food, prices & service. Worth checking it out. They also have take-home meals.
id like to thank the young lady at the business of Cup'ncake Baked Goods for providing me with a last minute (literally the party was in 7 hours) cupcakes and they were delicious, wrapped up in my theme colors! will be ordering again thanks for such a quick response! You have been spotted!! :)
Hello!
I came across this while digging up some dirt and was wondering, if anyone had any information in this piece? I assume it's from the 50's and maybe even the 40's from chrysler. It's an employee pin from factory number 2. I'm just looking on information and to know the history abit better on this pin!
If the image doesn't show up the pin says
CHRYSLER CORP OF CANADA LIMITED. Chrysler logo on top with plastic over 2 sets of number with a red background. The pin is a brass or a bronze.
I was at Terra Cotta pizza yesterday while I was visiting Windsor from London. Shelby was not only polite but she was willing to give me the 2 for 1 deal for my order. Since I was by myself and I was leaving the same day, I took advantage of the 2 for 1 deal during the lunch hour and I also was able to make a good deed out of it by giving my second box of pizza to the Quality Suites staff.
Also, I want to thank you for having a conversation with me while I was at the restaurant as well as by doing a superb job by asking customers if they were students since it was a 2 for 1 deal on Wednesday. I am a student at Fanshawe College and thank you so much for providing excellent guest service but also ensuring that customers keep coming back. Everytime I have lived in Windsor, service at Terra Cotta has always been awesome! :)
