Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Just out for a walk and picnic tonight and it was gorgeous out!
To the person in the starbucks drivethru on Tecumseh Rd east around 3:15 today; you have been spotted. Thank you very much for paying for my entire order, you are too kind! I promise to pay it forward & #128522;
Windsor has an unsung hero lurking in our midst. With your Dark Blue Ford Explorer and your emergency lights, you are a sentinel of the streets, waiting to come to someone's aid and service their emergency at a moment's notice. While not many know of his identity, he is a true local hero. Cheers to you Mr. Emergency Services, whoever you are for doing whatever you do.
To my 12 year old daughter. This is the 3rd time she has grown her hair enough to cut it and donate wigs for cancer. I'm so very proud of her for doing what she can and I hope she continues to do things like this for such a great cause. You have been spotted !
I had surgery on Thursday may 22 nd and had a mishap and spent 5 days in the hospital on the 2 nd floor north and had the most amazing nurses taking care of me. They not only took care of me physically but emotionally also. They made my stay amazing and deserve to be recognized for their amazing work. I want to thank each and everyone of them for the great job they did. I miss them and hope they get the recognition they deserve. Thank you again ladies. God bless you all. You will remain in my heart forever. Much love from a great full patient.
Today at the Tim Hortons on #42 and Manning Rd...A lady in a red car in front of me at the drive thru, paid for my order because she accidently pulled ahead of me in line. Needless to say this made my day...thank you..and you pulling ahead of me really didn't bother me...I thought you were in a hurry...no worries...and thank you for your generous gift today...it wasn't the price it was the thought that made my day...
I would like to thank, from the deepest part of my heart, the health care team at the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Center and above all the health care team at the Windsor Essex County Hospice. They welcomed my (large) family with open arms and made sure my Gram and our family's needs were meet at the end of her journey. Personally, the care team at Hospice has provided me with so many lessons and inspirations that I will bring to my own nursing practice. For all the reasons above, my Gram, my family, and myself are forever grateful, thank you.
Rest in peace Christina Bratt aka Gram.
