Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I went shopping on Friday over in Detroit on eureka road. I always just bring my debit and never have a problem but this time I did. I was at the cash trying to buy my kids some clothing when the cashier refused to take my debit and I argued a little bit till the couple behind us said they were also from windsor. They did a very nice thing and bought my clothes for me!!! I just want to say thank you again!!!!!!
On Saturday night our motorcycle left us stranded on the roundabout at Hwy 3 in Windsor. We ended up pushing it a ways so we could get out of the roundabout to wait for help. It was so heartwarming to have 4 vehicles stop to ask if they could help us. So nice to see that people will still stop to offer assistance. Thanks to all :)
Today June 1 2014 at 12:30 p.m. witnessed the most amazing customer service I had seen in a long time... We were on Check-out # 5 .. Dayna i believe she said her name was ... There was a older woman in a wheelchair .. my son-in-law help with her purchases on the belt .. but Dayna help her with her Debit Card .. and repackaged her groceries into her bag and the made sure the bag was secure on the back of the Wheelchair... and told her to have a AWESOME DAY ... sure put a smile on my face ... I even mention these action to the Store Manager and he was somewhat shock to think that someone would go out of there way a comment on Good Service ..he mention that he only hears about the Bad Service... Just want to say KooDoo"s to Dayna .. Well done
Today
I would just like to acknowledge and praise the woman at the LCBO on Walker and a customer who were looking out for all the people whom are driving and walking in Windsor on a beautiful day. Today, around 12 pm, she called the police to notify them of a severely intoxicated woman who was attempting to get in her car and drive. This woman not only was stumbling around the store but couldn't find the proper key to unlock her car. While the woman called the police, a man stood by to ensure the drunk woman would not be driving. I thank you both for possibly saving a life today. It did not go unnoticed.
Two large families of geese crossing at the crosswalks at the corner of Patillo Rd and Hwy 22 at 6:30 pm . There must have been 40 geese , mostly babies. All the drivers were so patient waiting for 5-7 minutes so the geese could safely cross the road to get to the open field. Warmed my heart to see everyone so animal friendly. :D
My wife and I went to do Laundry at Maria's Laundry today. We went late and we knew we will miss last Parent 14 bus on our way back. At some point an elderly lady came in to do her laundry and asked us for some assistance with machine. It is our 3rd time at this Laundry so we assisted her. We talked to her for some time when she offered to drive us back home. I was impressed and speechless. I hesitated a little bit as I didn't want to be on her way, but we took her offer as our last bus went by.
My wife and I would like to appreciate to Monique (I hope I spelled name right) for her kindness and generosity. You are an amazing person. Thank you
I went to Loewe Emporium today located at 659 Ouellette Ave downtown and was very pleased with the service and advice I received.
I went in because I thought my HID headlights were trash. The employee tested each right in front of me and advised I only needed bulbs. This was a savings for me because I thought I was going to be spending a lot more and if they weren't as professional as they were I woukd have not known any different. Thanks again and good luck for future customers. I'll be back
