Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I would like to thank the Tecumseh Truck Driver from Rock Well Truck Lines who was driving towards Windsor last night (june 10-11)on the 401. My daughter was driving back from Toronto late in the night and had to take the emergency detour because of construction. It was her first day driving the 401 by herself and and wouldn't have been able to navigate her way out alone. She isn't sure if they were guiding her or not, but her and I are both very gratefull for the assitance!
You have been SPOTTED!
Thank you from a very worried and grateful mother!
BMR at Banwell and Tecumseh. I have been in the store a couple of times over the last few weeks.
Great Customer service from everyone there. I would like to point out one individual, his name is Chris he has helped me out with a couple of projects. A small deck. Some laminate flooring and some plumbing isssues. Great service Chris. If you have any plumbing issues this is the guy to see. I had a moen faucet serveral years old. I thought I would need a new one. But he helped me get the right parts to fix it and now it is like new again. Thanks again Chris and to a great staff at BMR
I was walking with a friend downtown Monday evening when someone I didn't know physically attacked me. I did nothing wrong, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. To the 2 or 3 people who chased off the thugs that put me in the hospital and waited with me until help came, thank you. If you guys hadn't have stepped in, I would've ended up a lot worse. Please speak up so I can thank you!
To the lady working at the nice Korean restaurant on Pellisier road, thank you for treating me and my boyfriend to a free dessert tonight. It was delicious and very kind of you. I saw that you treated another couple as well.
To the girl (early 20's) in the Blue Hyundai (and yes I have your licence plate number) parked in the Value Village/ Pita Pita parking lot on Tecumseh road today. Leaving your Shephard puppy in the car while you shop in Value Village is NOT OK - EVER! Your poor puppy was panting and crying and you were not in the store for 2-3 mins like you tried to tell me you were when I advised you that I had already called the cops... I was there for 15! We had them make a page at the store and it still took you another 5 mins for you to come out. YOUR DOG COULD HAVE DIED!! When you opened the door and he jumped out you had to pick him up to put him back in the car because he already had no energy. Then when the humane society official arrived and tried to educate you (in a non-condescending manner) you rolled your windows up saying I know and ignoring all of the people staring at you in dismay. I urge you to give up that dog to someone who will love and care for it the way it deserves to be. If I ever see your dog left in the car alone again I will not be waiting for officials to arrive.
Spotted in my garden...thought I would share so br=eautiful and one of the first flowers to go out this year!
This past Saturday, I went to my sons soccer game at the Fogolar. On my way to the field I happen to drop my wallet not realizing it. So a few hours later once I was home,I noticed I didn't have it. I went back to the Fogolar searched the parking lot, and even asked the office if someone had turned in a wallet. Unfortunately for me no one did. I sent out an email to the soccer league hoping that maybe somebody at the soccer field might have found it. To my surprise I got a message back saying someone turned in a wallet, It was mine!!!!! Everything was still in it Cards, ID, and everything else. So to the kind hearted person that was honest about the find. Thank you for saving me a lot if trouble cancelling cards and getting new IDs. I am truly grateful and I thank you a millions times over. You have been spotted!!!!
We went to Baker's for breakfast this morning sporting our Toronto Blue Jays jerseys. We got our table, ordered our food and the man behind my husband asked if we are getting the Tiger's special that day. We shared a little laugh and our server asked if we are going to a game. We told her no and we are on our way to Vollmer Complex after to do the 5k walk for Juvenile Diabetes. We chatted a for bit saying that we love the Blue Jays and blue represents Diabetes and we thought as a family we should wear our jerseys. We told her about my son was diagnosed in November. So, we proceeded with the blood sugar check and insulin shot and ate our breakfast. Our server came back and told us that our bill has been paid for by the man behind us but told her not to say anything. He must have heard our conversation and seen the whole "routine" that my son goes through every day. It surely made our day, I started crying(my kids asked if I was going to be ok) and was deeply touched by his generosity. To the man sitting behind my husband (with tattoos) you have been spotted. Thank you for the kind gesture you have shown our family. May God bless you.
