Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
This evening... My sisters, our 3 kids and myself all went out to dinner at Pat'n'Hanks onTecumseh Rd E. We were sitting at our table for about 15 minutes before I noticed and elderly couple walked in and sit behind us. My nephew is extremely friendly and today was nothing different.... He was all smiles saying "hi" to everyone... Throughtout our meal he would stop and wave at the couple, and they would smile and wave back. As our dinner was coming to an end, the older gentleman walked over and rub my nephews head, smiled and said "what a good little boy". We all smiled and said thank you. As him and his wife were leaving.... The lady then looked at us and complimented at how well behaved the kids were. As a parent, in a restaurant, that is one of the best compliments ever lol. Soon after they left, out waitress walked over and informed us that the gentleman had paid for all of our meals. And told her not to say anything to us until he left... And that we simply pay it forward. What an extremely kind gestures... I never truely understood how people felt when something like that happened to them. Until tonight. Speechless, gratitude, respect, happiness are just a few of the many emotions my sisters and I felt..... Amazing how kind some people can be.... To that beautiful couple THANK YOU so much from the bottom of our hearts.... you made our night that much better.... You both have been spotted :)
My husband lost his iPhone this afternoon while we were out and about running errands. He was very upset by it due to the pictures of our children that are irreplaceable. He called Veteran Cab to see if he left it in the cab on the way home from the grocery store. He couldn't remember the cab number so he thought for sure it would be lost. Sure enough less than an hour later, the cab driver called my cell, letting me know that he had found my husbands cell phone. He dropped it off at the house a few hours later when he was close by. He didn't leave his name, and we were out when he dropped it off,but I wanted to thank him for being such an honest and kind person. Thank you so much for returning the cell, we greatly appreciate it.
For those who don't know, there is construction on the expressway. Shocking. Also, the one lane gets really long and at times comes to a stop at the tail end. Yet still, there are always driving citizens who think they are the first to think of the brilliant idea of by passing this stagnant line. I am a little more skeptical, and happen to believe that the drivers are just apples. Today at 219 p_m, we had a local hero, in a brownishDodge Caravan, who did an amazing fact of blocking those who tried to bypass the line. I've always wanted to do this, but did not have the guts to do sobut this Windsor citizen headed towards La Salle did so, and justice little act turn my day around. I thought it was amazing, in a good spit in the face to those who are terrible driver citizens. Thank you. Let me buy you a 12 pack! Please
This morning while in a funeral procession there were many cars that pulled over out of respect!! And to see a city worker in his work truck with his hat over his heart as we drove by brought a tear to my eye!! A big thank you to all who have been spotted! It is nice to see such respect!
You were driving a truck on Tecumseh road past BMR at about 11 am on 6/ 20 and your tow/ trailer hitch fell off the back of your truck. I tried to catch up to you but there were too many cars in between. I have it here, they're very expensive so I'd like you to get it back!!! E-mail me at rachelledbedard@gmail.com with a description of your truck, and I'd love to get it back to you! Have a good day!
