Helpful Guy

Last night (Monday Sept 10), I came out of work at 9pm. My car as of late has been hesitating when it starts. Sometimes it takes a couple of times before it turns over.

I work at the Market Place Square upstairs. While I was trying to start my car, and nice guy came over and asked if I was ok, and if I needed a ride somewhere. I told him I would be fine.

I just wanted to say thanks to you, I think you had a newer white truck, and were at he karate studio..

Thanks for being a thoughtful person. :)

Good Samaritans

I fell outside chapters at Devonshire mall on Saturday after noon taking a bad fall. I want to thank those people who immediately came to my aide. In a world full of negativity kindness still shines through. In an awful situation, to you that helped me, it was very much appreciated.

CAA rescue

Today my car battery died while I was out and about. I called CAA who was able to send someone within the hour. I want to thank the service tech that came to my rescue. Not only did he boost the battery but waited to be sure the car didn't die again. He then offered to follow me to my mechanic's to ensure I arrived without any problems. I'm quite certain that is not part of their protocol. It was very kind of him and made me feel secure until I arrived at my destination. Unfortunately I did not get his name. The world needs more kind and caring people like the CAA service tech that was sent out to help me. Thank you again.

Sweetheart

Samantha at Dollarama on Tecumseh road by Walmart. Words cannot describe you're kindness. I have a young daughter with special needs and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with stares and comments as my daughter was asking everyone if they liked her hat and mostly everyone ignored her & walked away. She ran up to you as you were stocking & screamed Hi' at you and you politely said hi back and smiled & laughed with her. She asked you if you liked her hat & you said yes it looks awesome! And told her to put it on, in which she did. She smiled and screamed looks good huh!!' You were so kind taking time to talk with her as most just stare at her and give me horrible anxiety with comments about how loud and out of control she is. That small encounter with you made her day she was so much better through the rest of the stores kept her hat on and just smiled away. So thank you Samantha for taking 5 minutes of your time to not only make a little girl with downs happy but also an overwhelmed mother relieved. Your manager should be proud to have you on their team!

There are still some good people left in the world.. I drove to 711 tonight to get gas and a few other things.. I realized after I had already pumped the gas that I left my debit card at home. I gave them my licence plate number and phone number and told them I would be back in 20 minutes. A few minutes after I left 711 called me to tell me the man in line behind me paid for my gas and I didn't have to come back. I'm not sure who he is or what he even looked like but thanks whoever you are I'm super appreciative and will pay it forward wishing you some excellent karma good sir.

Sorry and Thank-you Lincoln Street!

Spotted: It's been a bit of a stressful few days. I'm currently staying at my partners place on Lincoln because there's a deck being built at mine. I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. Many of you know Lincoln is a one way and I went to squeeze my little fiat in a spot last night. I'm not the best under pressure and there were some cars behind me. They weren't passing so I quickly pulled it in the spot and on the curb in the process and did not want to work on correcting at that moment... I left it there to go crawl inside and out of that situation. In the moment I must've put my four ways on and left them on all night! I'm so sorry to all the neighbors that must've had to deal with that incessant blinking!!! Incredibly insensitive on my end! I had no idea until this morning when I got in to go to work and the car was dead (and of course on the curb, parked like a jerk). I called my boyfriend who was at work and he was on his way to come give me a jump, but before that could happen a stranger pulled up beside me and offered a jump. I later got a call from the police asking if everything was all right due to the car flashing all night. I really appreciate the community looking out and again, apologize for being so frazzled by such a simple task like a new situation and parallel parking under pressure! Thank-you to the helpers in this community, it was incredibly appreciated.

The Floor Store spreading awareness

Driving down the street when I look up and see the sign at THE FLOOR STORE on Tec rd near Jefferson. Was so happy to see support and making people aware of the need to protect these animals. Good job guys!
