Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I was in line with my daughter and granddaughter today. A young mother with a toddler was checking out and she was struggling with toddler and packages and couldn't find her debit card. A woman in line came up and paid for this woman's purchases with her debit card. The young mom started crying and gave the woman a hug. Brought tears to my eyes and made my day wonderful just observing this wonderful act of kindness. Pay it forward everyone!
Looks like too much standing water of the roof caused this.

My husband and I were at Home Depot on Saturday buying wood for our deck. We were going to have it delivered to our house and a gentleman overheard us trying to arrange it and offered to deliver it for us for free. The load we had was too much for his truck . We want to say thank you for your offer it was very thoughtful and kind . To the gentleman at Home Depot buying lumber you have been spotted .
To the man driving a transport truck this morning around 7:20am on Walker Road- thank you for blocking traffic so the family of ducks could safely cross the road! It made my day to see this!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
A big animal lover
Spotted: I was in the Wal-Mart parking lot yesterday and this older lady walked up to me and asked if I could help her. "You look big and strong, maybe you can help a little old lady like me load something into my car?" I looked back at her cart and noticed she had an A/ C and some other smaller things. I walked up and gave her a hand. After I placed it into her car I asked if she had someone to unload it or install it. She said her nephew will be down from Toronto this weekend and he will install it for her. I told her I had no problem installing it for her if she was fine with it. I understand how nervous people are with trusting people. I was there with my two girls and they were talking to her ages 6-9. She looked at me and said only if you allow me to buy your two little ones some ice-cream. We agreed and went on our way. After about 30 minutes of working and her keeping my daughters company I was done. I showed her how it worked and said she should be all set. Gave her my number and said if she needs anything before her nephew gets into the city to just call me. She smiled and said she would. She then handed me an envelope and said thank you. I said no thank you and tried to give it back but she insisted. She also gave my girls some cookies that she had baked earlier that day. She hugged my girls and we left. When I got into the car my daughters asked what was in the envelope. I opened it and noticed 1 $100 and 1 $50. This lady had given me $150 for installing an A/ C unit. I didn't understand it. I went back and knocked on her door. I said I am sure you gave me too much. All I did was replace the old unit with the new one. She looked at me and smiled. "You are a good young man and your daughters mentioned that you were at Wal-Mart buying some towels and pillows because you and their mom split up. You deserve more for being so kind to an old lady like me." I looked at her and said thank you I really don't need the money but I will put this to good use. To that sweet older lady, thank you again and I had to share our story because you showed my daughters how good people can truly be. You have been spotted
