On Friday later afternoon, I decided to go for a little bus ride. It's been ages since I have been on a bus, since I normally drive my car but, I figured I would just let someone else drive for once. I had decided to go visit my son over at Vito's Pizzeria where he works but was totally unsure on which bus to take. Thanks to the wonderful maintenance people in the Tecumseh food court and Steve, the bus driver for the Crosstown 2 bus, I didn't get lost and made it over there quite nicely. A large thank you to the driver Steve, who was not only helpful but very patient with me, in explaining everything I needed to know about taking the bus that day. You made the trip very enjoyable and fun!

To all the people who drove by me on Mattchette road back on Sept 2nd while standing in high heeled shoes and a steaming radiator I want to say u suck. not one of u asked if I was OK or needed a phone. Talk about humanity ?!? And to the jackasses who would not let me back into traffic after watching me try to fix my car u also suck. BUT to the lady who let me use her phone at Ojibway park thank u thank u thank u. Your generosity allowed me to get home safely without ruining my car and to get home to my husband and four young children. I too am glad u choose to walk your dog at Ojibway. To everyone else may u find yourself stranded with a broke down car and no charge on your phone I do hope u get home safe but with the thought of me in your head. A simple are u OK would have meant the world and restored my faith in humanity.

Today I ordered pizza from Johnny Piez. (Delicious pizza) Got there a little early so after I paid I waited in my car. Couple minutes later the cook came out and brought my order to my car. Now that's service! He has been so friendly every time I've been. All the staff has been! Amazing food and great people.

I'm a single mother of 2 amazing kids and I try to make sure to tell myself almost everyday how awesome of a mother I am. Not that I think I'm the best by far, but I do it to help get through the day. Sometimes I feel guilty about saying no to something my kids ask for because it's not easy when you're a single mother. I was in walmart on Friday doing some shopping after payday. I went through my shopping list and was almost done. I realized I'd have enough for an extra treat for each child to pick. So we made a game of it and finished up. While in line I noticed this older lady looking my way and smiling. I smiled back and continued to load my groceries on at the till. While loading my vehicle the same older woman was walking towards my truck as her husband was loading his groceries. I stopped loading my truck and said hi. Right then this happened and she said " I don't want to frighten you but I have to tell you something. Your children are amazing and so are you. I watched and listened while you were shopping. We happened to be at the same place as you for half our shopping time. You are an amazing mother, not sure how often someone tells you that and I hope you don't think I'm weird. I just had to come tell you even though my husband said I shouldn't admit we overheard your conversations with the kids. I really hope you know how sincere I am when I tell you how great I thought you were and it was so refreshing to witness that." I was in tears, I don't think anyone would understand how great it is to hear someone else you don't know tell you that. To that lady, you made my day/ week/ month/ year. I hugged her and we went on our way but you deserve to be spotted and maybe everyone realizes that the tiniest compliment could flip anyone's day around

Just wanted to spot my best friend. She's been through a lot lately, but I'm glad to be able to help her out, just like she would do if it were the other way around. She's a great friend and I'm glad to have her in my life :-)

On the Crosstown 2 bus this afternoon, coming home from the library, the two men sitting across from me made my day by complimenting me on my dress, it was totally unexpected! Thanks again fellas, you really brightened my day!
