Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Tonight while driving down oulette my boyfriend and I noticed a man sitting against a building with his dog looking for money to buy his dog food. At first we were skeptical but noticed that the dog was in good health. We stopped at the nearest convenience store and bought him a small bag of dog food and treats. After giving him the food and treats he thanked us and told us about how he found this puppy when he was 6 weeks old in the rain abandoned and how he was about to end his life but this dog saved him. He named him lucky. For someone in his situation he put his dogs health before his own making sure he's fed and up to date on vaccines. A few months ago my debit card wasn't working and the lady at burger King paid for my meal, smiled at me and told me to just pay it forward. I wasn't sure how I was going to do that but tonight I figured it out. One small gesture can mean a lot to one person.

I met my Prince Charming in the midst of my chemo and he has been by my side ever since"
Now Jill has a chance to win a Dream Honeymoon!!! In order for Jill to win, she needs many votes. I have attached the link that will take you directly to her photo where you vote. Simply like her photo to vote for her. Every like and share counts. Please and Thank you

I follow this young lady on the internet since I found her book in a Facebook group. She is a local author who prides herself in saying where she is from and what she is all about. I logged in this morning to see her all over with the picture I attached. She is bringing awareness to the internet about bullying. I was bullied as a child and still get bullied at work. When I saw this is made me a little weepy. She's much younger than I and I may never meet her but she has touched my heart with her words in her books and now on social media.
Gracie Wilson decided to go positive which is hard when you want to lash and scream I've been there too. But she didn't.
I think she deserves to be spotted in windsor and everywhere else.

Yesterday morning, bright and early as I walk into work, I witnessed the most amazing and heartfelt moment I've seen in quite a while.
A mom dropping her son off to kindergarten with a quick hug and a kiss, as Im sure she's in a rush to get her own self to work. I see her crouch down beside him and in a soft voice I hear her say,
"So what kind of day are you going to have today?"
The boy replies, " A great day mom!"
"Well how do you know that?" She asks.
He responds, " Because you believe in me"
OMG how empowering.
I was in complete "Aww"
my eyes filled up with tears thinking about my own child and the children I work with everyday.
So to that mom, who I'm sure is as busy as the rest of us on our daily morning rush to wherever...took a moment of her time, while trusting the life of her child in "our" hands, encouraged great things to happened today and defeat the fear of going to school.
You are such an inspiration to me, a complete model of what I believe in and what I hope to teach and instill in our young children everyday!
We need more opportunities like this to empower our children.
Don't let them feel alone, ask questions, let them know you care.
I see so many kids daily who fall victim to circumstances and get lost in the shuffle.
Breaks my heart.
It only takes a second
They need us & lt;3
To the medical labs girl that has recently joined the walker rd location, you've been spotted. Your smile brightens up the room and your bubbly personality is great for the patients you service. Unlike many others employed at the other labs you love your job and it shows! Keep it up.
Signed, a doctor in the building
Tonight (Sept 30th) around 5:20pm there was an elderly couple with car trouble on Dougall at West Grand. Car was stalled at the light. Three young guys appeared from a nearby plaza, then a fourth showed up. They talked to the driver and pushed the car along Dougall and into a nearby parking lot.
Way to go guys! You've been spotted!
If anyone was on the tunnel bus with the guy who talked about 17 chickens comment here !!
