Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I just need very basic alteration services for three pieces of cotton garments (all unlined) that need: 1) Hemming (shortening the length) and, 2) A tighter short sleeve (not underneath the arms, just around the bicep needing to be tighter). They don't need any fancy hems/ stitching as they will be worn underneath other garments. I'm avoiding the chain alteration places because it is too expensive. If you know anyone that would do it for a fair price, please let me know!

To the gentleman at Pioneer gas station around noon, on Walker by Chrysler, BRAVO!! Seeing you pumping gas for an older gentleman so he wouldn't have to get out of his vehicle warmed my heart! Working with elderly I see how their families mistreat them, and to see a perfect stranger do this for him has restored my faith in humanity!!!

I just want to remind people that Advanced Polls have now opened according to The Windsor Star and the City of Windsor.
I voted in my Kitchener election yesterday and I want to let everyone know that its your democratic right to vote. Please get out and vote and if your not sure as to where your candidates stand on the issues that matter to you, please do not hesitate to call them so you can make an informed decision.
Windsorites please get out and ask the tough questions to the candidates to ensure that the city will do its job in standing up for your needs. If you do not ask or speak up, politicians will do what they want and your letting other voters make the decisions that you may not agree to yourself. Hold them accountable.
Election date is October 27. Have a great weekend and please get out and vote for the candidate of your choice. Just an FYI in other countries people lose their lives for the right to vote.
A former Windsor resident that is tired of all the problems at city hall but had a lot of faith in the citizens of Essex-Windsor.

I know,....... but I still call it Hotel Dieu, I just want to thank ALL of the excellent nurses, doctors, porters, orderlies in cardiac E.R. EVERYONE was so supportive, kind, caring, patient and nurturing during my recent stay. The warm blankets were very comforting as were all of your kind words. Thank you for getting me through a tough and scarey time!! I would've loved to give each and everyone of you a hug, so except these cyber-hugs (((((Hotel Dieu)))))
Just wanted to thank a couple of kind folks that basically paid for our parking this past Thursday at the 630 building by Tecumseh and Howard behind the Shoppers there. I had an appointment for a bone scan and I had to go in at 9 in the morning for an injection, then back again at 4:30 for the scan. We had totally forgotten to grab a ticket and pay for parking before going in that morning, and noticed when we got back to the car that someone had generously stuck their unexpired ticket in our wind-shield. When we went back that afternoon, two women and a little guy in a stroller were just on their way out and let us have their unexpired ticket. My mom and I couldn't believe our luck and the kindness of others TWICE in one day! It was a small, but greatly appreciated gesture. Look forward to paying it forward :)
