I just wanted to say thanks to whomever it was that dropped off the large old speakers at the Salvation Army on or about August 21st. Even though they were a little beat up and in need of minor repairs, otherwise they were well cared for and I got the sense that at some point these were someone's babies and that maybe that person has passed on. I have since performed a complete restoration on them and they are back to their original glory, sounding fantastic and ready for another generation (or more) of enjoyment. I am a speaker nut and collector and really can't imagine them going to a better home. So thanks for not just throwing them away.

Fixed it, now I know why that dog was on the roof!!!

He was pledged with the duty of protecting this city from evil do-ers, keeping an eye out standing majestically at his lookout tower.

Dog on a Roof

My mom and I were driving down Wyandotte near dowtown, and saw this! We were worried at first, but I spoke to some guys working at the auto repair place next door and they told me, "oh yeah, he's always up there, it's his hideout". We laughed and laughed! Funny puppy!

Music For Memories Fundraiser

I want to Congratulate the SSW Gerontology club of St. Clair College on a Successful Fundraiser at The Scottish Club of Windsor. They ran a fundraiser for Music and Memories to raise money to purchase iPod's and mp 3's players for people with Alzheimer's, dementia and other behavioural issues. Music helps in calming them and is a universal tool of communication. The night was a huge success and the club should be very proud of everything they did to pull this event together. The entertainment was fantastic and they had a wide variety of raffle prizes. All in all a wonderful event and great time had by all.

Guardian angels

To the couple that picked my elderly mother up in the bitter cold this past Wednesday, nov 12th. She suffers from Alzheimer's and left her retirement home with only a sweater, to go for a 'walk' . Unfortunately no one saw her leave, and we are unsure of details on exactly how long she was out in this bitter cold weather we Are having. I would just like to know that you are angels sent from God, and you really did save my mother life. So from the bottom of my heart and for the rest of my family, we are eternally grateful for you stopping when you noticed she was under dressed, and brought her to the police station. She is well, safe, and staying with family while we await placement into a Ltc facility with security and a wander guard .system . Thank you!!! The world is a better place with you in it :).
