Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My husband and I miscarried at 18 weeks and had to deliver our baby boy.
We were so scared going in but our nurses, first Joy and then Heather, were absolutely 100% amazing and felt like family through our entire stay. They were nothing but helpful, sympathetic, empathetic and on top of caring for us through the entire process. They shed tears and gave us plenty of hugs. Having such good people like them involved made this horrific experience a little bit more bearable. Also to Dr. Hasen, and Dr. Mundle being the doctors on call, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
If the four of you happen to see this, I'm sure you've heard it before, but keep being you because you are doing an amazing job at the career you chose. We need more nurses and doctors like the ones we were blessed to have with us during this difficult time.
I was at Target at 6:45am to get the Lego movie Xbox game for my son.
I was waiting by the games for someone to help me when a wonderful lady overheard what I was looking for and told me it was located in another area of the store.
I ended up getting the LAST one.
Thank you for taking the time out of your shopping to help me find the top gift on my sons list.
Merry Christmas!!
To the gentlemen that helped me get my son carseat in the cab thank you. MY hands were full with my son, his toy, and my keys. Thank you for taking just those few quick minutes to help me out
I went to the downtown McDonald's to buy a frappe and the drive through worker offered me an extra frappe for free. Thank you for offering it to us, made our day :)
To the young gentleman in mcdonalds on Tecumseh and droullard last night. There were two younger boys sitting together with little change spread across their table, 1 drink cup, & several ketchup packages. I didn't think much when I saw them, just thought kids just hanging out being kids.
You walked over and asked them if they were hungry and the boys face light up and said yes, you then handed them 20$ and told them to get whatever you want and to keep the change.
Good for you young man, you showed my husband and I that the younger generation Isn't all Completly horrible, you were raised right, and showed an amazing act of kindness during the holiday season.
-spotted by the older couple sitting behind you.
This morning I came up to a stop light in the east end and looking through my wallet (I'm sure everyone with kids or a hubby can relate to) I had noticed I had no change. (was in there when I went to bed I am sure...lol) So I apologized to the Goodfellow gentleman and told him I'll grab one when I go to the bank...he put the paper on my windshield and said take care...I am blown away....what a kind gesture from this nice man....
I not only went to the bank....I also went to Tim Hortons got him a coffee and gift card as well as gave him money for Goodfellows ...
There really are great people in this world...what a kind man....thank you Sir!!
From the lady in the blue Jeep...;)
We don't often thank our cab service. I lost my wedding ring this past Wednesday. Vets took there extra time to find the cab driver . The cab driver then took time to search his car for my rings. When I got a call back that my band was found I was shocked. Thank you Vets Cab for the extra time and caring.
Thanks Steve from Lasalle that is retired from Chrysler after 36yrs. My family came into the Rexall walk-in clinic after my son had an eye injury during recess. Steve was kind by taking our last in line position and giving his first in line spot. Thanks for waiting an additional 45 minutes by doing this and giving two concerned parents a peace of mind sooner :) You are a good person Steve !
