Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Older gentle dog found on Kildare this afternoon around 430pm. She is approximately 10 years old and has what looks like a tumor or lump on her belly. She is so gentle. She is safe at the humane society as well as up on their site. I hope her owner is found soon
I work at Devonshire mall and every morning I get a tea or hot chocolate from Tim Hortons. I ordered my tea and was wondering why the employee was not taking my money. She said "someone paid for your order". I asked who it was and she replied with "the lady at the other register". I did not recognize her then realized she was just being nice. Made my day. I will definitely be paying it forward. Thank you that was so kind of you! You have been spotted :)
Thanks so much to a young girl Kourtney Smith who was walking by me as i was trying to get out of the car but was struggling due to being almost 9 months pregnant. That steering wheel gets in the way sometimes!!! So a big thank you to her! You have been spotted! Definitely passing on the good deed.
i was purchasing some winter coats for
STREET HELP (local org for Homeless)
Jenn at STK (Second Time Klothes) who donate proceeds to Cancer, gave me 50% off purchase!!!
Thanks you again Jenn, I appreciated it and so will the recipients of the very warm winter coats!!
Anyone that would like to help out our Local Homeless should check out this Org. They provide 3 squares plus can provide an address for the less fortunate that are looking for employment. They are in need of gently used winter coats and boots, hygiene products and can goods, preferably with a pop top for easy opening!
I love the Christmas spirit!
On Friday, December 5 I witnessed a boss paying for one of his employee's bills. It was a very high bill and he didn't want him going without this holiday season. I hope that good karma comes your way! We need more caring people like you in this world!
Does anyone know where this pretty girl calls home? She was found in Walkerville near Lincoln. We haven't called the Humane Society yet but will shortly. She is wearing a pink and green collar but no identification tags.
After moving to the eastend of Town, I dont really knowhow to get around much other then my boyfriend is driving me. I haven't taken a bus since I was 14 - and it was always just a teenybopper going back and forth to the mall with my friends at that age where you never want your parents driving you anymore. Well, I was quite nervous and had to get all the way to the Westend of town for a few errands and my boyfriend always drives but conveniently the car decided to die out the day before which couldnt have already come at a worse time with the death of a loved one that same day as well. As I dont really like to open up much or ask for help, I walked to the bus depot at Tecumseh Mall as I figured out the Crossdown 2 would eventually take me to at some point where I needed to go. The bus was already there and after mustering up enough courage to ask a woman standing close to the bus, I asked if this was even the bus I should be taking and if I need to switch at any point. She was extremely nice. Her name was Tracy. She explained everything to me and where to even get off and what to look for so I knew when I was close. This made me feel a tinier bit at ease. When the driver came back to start his route I let the few people that had gathered behind me go ahead of me still as I was still once again trying to not be so insanely shy so I could even also ask the driver aswell. Then a man whos name imdidnt catch also assured me I was good to go and wouldnt get lost. I suffer from extreme aniexty the last while, so this simple task to most was making me want to have a full on panic attack. When on the bus the girl, Tracy sat and chatttedwith me and made me feel much more comfortable. Once she got to her stop..and had to..I thanked her and wished her a Merry Christmas and hoped she had a good day at work. But, once I was alone I kinda felt panicy all over again. The man who also had reassured me in the beginning went to get off a few stops after her. He came up to me first, and asked if I knew what to do now. I lied and said yes, he obviously noticed my hesitance and before he got off he whispered something to the driver and winked at me as he walked off. Once my stop was coming up the driver called me over and told me exactly where to go when coming back, pointed on where to wait and everything. I appreciated that so much. I had so much on my mind and with being alone for the first time in days, and being able to think about the death of my grandmother ontop of being insanely anxious and.embarrassed because at 27 I still didnt know which bus to even take or get off ect. So thank you - to the 3 of you who made something that yes, should have been easy to begin with - actually easy for me. Its been a rough couple days, and it was just so.nice to be looked out for when I was too shy to speak up on my own. Thank you - and I hope the 3 of you have a wonderful christmas..which im.pretty sure I said to youguys atleast 50 times. ♡
To the lady who paid for my gas today at the 7/ 11 on Wyandotte, thank you so much! I was so tired that I didn't realize I was trying to use the wrong card to pay, when I ran out to grab the right debit card I noticed that you had already prepaid for $20. THANK YOU, I definitely paid it forward right after that :)
