Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
SUSHI has been found after she was stolen 16 months ago!!! I reached out to Brandie 3 months ago, for I felt I needed to help her get SUSHI's story out there. She was found thru FB from a girl that she had lost contact with. They became friends just recently & while going thru her pics she knew who had SUSHI. My hope was to make Brandie & her son Noah's wish come true & that was to have SUSHI home for Christmas and it's happened!! SUSHI was part of my husband's a & my conversation everyday and when I got the news this morning I lost it but out of happiness for Brandie & Noah... So I think it's safe to say that my husband won't miss that convo anytime soon!!! lol
As I've always said to my family, "NEVER say NEVER" because ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!
Welcome home SUSHI!! & lt;3
Spotted at the Tim Horton's on park and goyeau, a little after 1pm today (Dec 10th) There was a young woman looking down and out and wearing slippers. You bought her a coffee and took it over to her table with creamer and sugar... Ur act of kindness nearly brought tears to my eyes! You've been spotted.. Merry Christmas and God bless you..
My youngest son is 4 months old he was born 6 weeks premature.this weekend he began to fall I'll was diagnosed with bronchitis Monday. Wednesday morning he woke up very sick and was having trouble berthing I dialled 911. In the hospital our nurse was amazing I mean absolutely outstanding she was compassionate loving caring and you could tell she cared about her job. To some people those are the traits of a nurse unfourtantley it's rare to find a truly caring loving hardworking nurse with a positive attitude. I watched her constantly procrastinate to take her break to take care of her patients, then when she agreed to take her break she gave a needle to one checked on my son then checked on the man next to me .every single nurse or healthcare worker can learn from this young nurse Katie Nicolettie you have been spotted thank you don't change !!!!!
Jason, Sarah, Steve and (Mike shut up!) at Met Hospital. I went in to emerg at noon on Tuesday. Left around 11pm. I went in scared, tired and really depressed. Between failed IV attempts and messed up tests Jason, Sarah, Steve and Mike (think Mike was his name, Jason knows) went beyond what they had to to keep me calm and comfortable. The rest of the hospital was great as well, but these 4 made my stay more then tolerable. So THANK YOU for everything, you have been spotted & lt;3
Last weekend I braved Target to finish up some Christmas shopping. When I pulled in there were 4 police cars parked right up on the sidewalk. Thinking something happened I continued into the store, a few officers were talking to some employees so I carried on. As I wondered the store I kept seeing Officers walking around with kids. Still wasent sure what to think. Then I overheard one of the officers talking to one of the boys, maybe around 10 years old, calling him by name as if he has known him a while, telling him to pick whatever will make him happy! They were all there to shop with underprivileged youth! But I got the feeling it wasent just a "duty" for the officers, they were all smiles, calling the kids by name and simply there for them! Kudos to the officers of Windsor that made a difference to a child this Christmas! Not only do they put their lives on the line daily they also make others lives better! Thank You Windsor Officers!
My daughter Tatum started a campaign called Small gift, big difference last year and collected winter accessories for the needy.. Last year she collected almost 400 items..This year she started her campaign in October and with the generosity of people near and far, she collected almost 700 winter accessories that will be donated this week to Street Help/ Unit 7 and Hiatus House. She wanted me to thank everyone that donated to her Christmas campaign .. Together we will make this winter a little warmer for those in need.
I was at Hotel Dieu this morning waiting for a test. I sat and talked to a kind gentleman that took my mind off of what was coming. His name (I believe, was Ken) We talked about the vegetarian diet and just had a nice conversation. I wanted to say that I hope your test came back ok and that I am thinking and praying for you. You actually reminded me of my dad and that felt good because I miss him. I hope all is well with you. Thank you for the conversation.
Older gentle dog found on Kildare this afternoon around 430pm. She is approximately 10 years old and has what looks like a tumor or lump on her belly. She is so gentle. She is safe at the humane society as well as up on their site. I hope her owner is found soon
