Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Just wanted to thank the Vineyard Church for your wonderful random act or kindness. They had some bags full of groceries and picked some houses to give them a bag a long with a gift card to the grocery store. How amazing is that, God is so wonderful because we needed all those things in the bag. Thank you so much!
We had an issue with our iPad ans made some calls to have it fixed. I went to smartphone clinic on Tecumseh and mercer today to see if they could help. This was my second time being there (had a phone fixed a year ago) as I had a good experience last time. Well, happy to say that I once again am pleasantly pleased with the work and professionalism at this store. My iPad was fixed while I waited. I was impressed with his honesty and information that was provided about my issue. It's hard to find good people in the customer service industry that are not trying to rip you off. I believe that word of mouth is important and the best thank you to a business, and I'm giving mine.
Smartphone Clinic, you've been spotted for your great service!
Thanks,
One happy girl that got her iPad fixed!
As my friend and I walked out to our car after our game Friday night at WFCU (which was the same night as the Jerry Seinfeld show), our car was stuck in the snow. We drove over the curb into the snow to get a spot, so it was completely our fault. What made matters worse was that we couldn't get out of the snow. There was a woman that worked for parking enforcement for the city of windsor that came by and asked if she gave us a ticket (which she did). She said the least she could do was help us out of the snow. She called over another coworker and they both helped us get out of the snow. Thank you so much! I wouldn't be able to push it on my own
I wanted to express a thank you to spotted for bringing us positive, heart warming, mood lifting stories. I look forward to hearing about all the good around us in a day and age where we are bombarded with the negative.
Keep the positive posts coming!!
Thank you to the kind gentleman who got out of his car to help me pack a bag up after the plastic ones spilled out of my hands in front of M.R. Meat on the West End today. You had no idea that I was having a really tough day and your simple kindness made it better. Sure, helping to put some groceries into a bag isn't a big thing but your willingness to help someone is.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Many of them!
I live on Pillette between Grand Marais and Plymouth....there was a coyote by my house this morning at 8:10am...by the time I got my camera he was walking away...please be careful when walking your small dogs....
Earlier this afternoon, I had the dreaded pleasure of sitting in the cramped waiting area at Service Ontario. A man, who said he had to leave and couldn't wait any longer, gave his ticket to the person next to him who had just gotten there. That man then offered the ticket to the lady across from him, saying it wasn't fair for him to take it since he had just arrived. That lady then switched with the man next to me, as he had been waiting longer than her. It was such a simple exchange, but was still nice to see people engaging and was a nice distraction. It made the waiting so much less painful! Thanks for the laughs!
we are looking for any witnesses that witnessed a man having a heart attack at Harvey's on Tecumseh Rd Wednesday jan 21 at around 730 pm. Our family would like to know what happened during his last few minutes of life....did he suffer or did he go peacefully. Any help would be much appreciated :)
