Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
County snow can be brutal with all the drifting from the fields. My poor hubby was out this morning snow blowing the driveway at 4am as he did not have a snow day. He was so upset that he did not have time to help out our neighbours. Thank you so much to our neighbour john for reving up his tractor and plow off so many of our driveways! We live on a wonderful street in Mcgregor and sometimes life gets so busy you do t always get to know the people around you. Again thank you John not just from us but I am sure many of our neighbours are truly feeling grateful
I would like to spot the Polish Ursuline Sisters on Langlois Ave. Today at 630 am I was leaving for work and not only were these ladies already out clearing all sidewalks with their snow blower but also the road and intersection at Langlois and Ellis with a shovel! If you live in the neighborhood you know that these ladies are dedicated to the neighbourhood and are the first ones out at any snow fall, even in their skirts! From your neighbour we appreciate it and you have always been spotted! 😊
I was one of the many stuck on the road today. I just wanted to say thank you to the man walking down Wyandotte near Virginia that helped push me out! You are truly amazing and I don't know what I would've done without your help!
The 1100 block of Lincoln and Gladstone allie way couldnt have been cleaned up better. Now thats a neighbourhood working together :) All of us are able to get in and out of our driveways and out to the street. Thankyou for being such great neighbours.
this morning on tecumseh road and terminal I was stuck trying to get onto tecumseh road when a delivery truck with two men stopped to help me , they had drove by me once and came back around to see if I was okay ! You guys are awesome thank you so much ! :)
I would like to thank the gentlemen who helped me when I got stuck trying to get into my parking lot at work this morning. Within minutes of getting stuck 2 gentlemen stopped to push me out, including one who was driving a plow.
Once they got me out the man with the plow cleared the entrance to the parking lot so I could get in, and then he proceeded to pull a man in a pickup truck out of the ditch in front of my work
it is nice to see so many people willing to stop and help.
Thanks again :)
Two men, of their own initiative, are out shovelling walks and driveways on
Beals St. in the St. Mary's Gate neighbourhood, this morning.
At a time when one may be tempted to become a bit cynical about human nature due to some of the craziness in our world right now, these two men
come along unannounced, to inspire.
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity. It means a lot.
I would like to say thank you to the young man in the black jeep that helped us out at 4am on Turner and Tecumseh. Like some people, you could've kept going or even honked. You did us a huge favor and didn't hesitate to stop. You even waited to make sure we didn't get stuck again. Then you even showed us a special features on our car. It was extremely appreciated and I thank you. Good to know there's still good people out there.
