Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Thank you to the gentleman working at the Families First Funeral Home on Dougall today who provided me with a private and comfortable room to nurse my baby upon my request on Wednesday morning. Very accommodating. Thanks!
My husband driving home from work when the car stalled out on walker near Silvercity. While trying to push the car out of the way a man in an Essex County conservationist jacket stopped and helped him. He then loaned his phone to call me. Unfortunately I did not hear the phone ringing. Then is kind man went out of his way to drive my husband home. To this man, you are an genuinely nice person and shows us that there is still hope for the world. Thank you so much for helping him. You've been spotted.
As a worker at Target it gets very frustrating to see people destroying our store by throwing product anywhere and everywhere. Today I set out to clean and organize our toy dept. I came across a guest in one of the aisles. When I asked if I could help her I was dumfounded by her reply. She had time to kill while waiting for her daughter so she wanted to help us out but tidying up the shelves. Not only did this very pleasant woman straighten up a whole aisle she organized the stock that didn't belong in toys.
Whoever this lady is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Your thoughtfulness and assistance was amazing. You made my week!
Yesterday at the TMC building in Tecumseh the elevator wasn't working this young boy I heard someone say his name was Daniel leaving the clinic looked up and seen this elderly lady struggling to get down the stairs. He ran up the 2 flights of stairs to assist her down them which with a building full of older people (40-50) and staff was shocked a young man in his teens would stop and help after many passed by her on the stairs. He patiently helped her down each stair. Breath taking ! I think he deserves a shout out well done Daniel
A couple of months ago, my grandmother was involved in a car accident where she collided head-on into a tree. Although she wasn't injured severely, the accident left her with massive bruises across her chest and a totalled car. As she recalled the story of what took place to me the next day, I was completely taken aback and moved when she told me that after she had hit the tree and was pinned inside her car, a man had stopped his car off the busy road and immediately rushed out to her side. This man (who my grandma described to me as an angel) held her hand and comforted her while they waited for the ambulance to come. Now, I am not a very religious person, but it is people like this that make me believe that maybe angels really do exist. So to that man (who remained anonymous), I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for my grandmother to comfort her in a very scary situation. You have been spotted & lt;3
On wednesday March 18th I was on my way to pick up my daughter and head out of town for a March Break trip, when a stranger notified me that my tire was flat! I pulled over and was laying on the ground about to jack up my car when a very nice couple stopped to help me, They were just out for a stroll when they saw me in need of help. Without skipping a beat the husband jumped in and changed my tire for me! They were such a sweet couple and their help meant that I was not stranded for long. I was able to take my trip to Hamilton to see family with no further hiccups. Thank you Bill and Sue for being wonderful humans! We need more of you!
I was driving in the east end today and was stopped at stop sign. Saw a little boy maybe 4 yrs old having a great time driving a police themed power wheels on his front lawn while his dad (?) supervised.
Then to my surprise a Windsor police cruiser came driving down the street and stopped in front of the house. The officer got out of his car and went over to the little boy. He started talking to the boy and pointing at stuff on the boys "cruiser". His little face lit up like it was Christmas morning and he was smiling from ear to ear while the officer was talking to him.
This wonderful interaction by that caring officer who could've kept driving but chose to stop for a few mins, not only put a smile on my face but created a positive, happy memory for that little boy that will last a lifetime.
Kudos to you Officer.
As walkerville high school and the family of Robert John BAXTER morn his loss one student had a little idea. This idea grew into something that gave comfort. Not knowing how others would respond, most adults where amazed he came up with bow ties for Baxter. Mr Baxter liked bow ties and ties. Thank you Dante for showing no matter who you are or how old you are you can make a difference...
