Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I just would like to thank whoever donated the wonderful easter baskets to St .John school. That was incredibly kind. Each basket was so nicely done and jam packed with fun things for kids and very limited candy which is great. The children were lit up from ear to ear and the ones lucky enough to win the draw were so excited. Two of my children won and were so grateful and thankful. A lot of time and money went into these baskets. Wishing you(all)a happy easter.
The blue lights have been spotted, at the house with all the Christmas lights on Tranby.
For the Autisum awareness day
I was shopping at Zehrs on Lauzon Pkwy. and Tecumseh Rd. this morning getting ready for this coming holiday. I love the store and I shop there all the time. However, I noticed today their hours for this coming holiday. Open on Good Friday...what? No, I'm not happy about that... Of course it's my personal opinion but being closed for Good Friday and Easter is the right thing to do as an employer...providing it's not an emergency service.
And if you must open I would hope the employees that are working are the ones who want to be there...not the ones who have family and not the ones who want to celebrate the holiday. Sadly...I know this is most often not the case. No matter the holiday or religion behind it...people should be able to celebrate what they believe and hold sacred.
For Christians...tomorrow is a day of mourning and a day of great reverence...and Sunday a day of glorious celebration.
I see it everyday...wonderful acts of kindness. Stay closed...love and respect each other...an act of kindness. If, we don't do something now...holidays will eventually be a thing of the past...just like being closed on Sundays.
I was shopping with my husband at Walmart looking at computer desks. We were discussing our budget and how much we can afford. My husband was starting a business on the side of his full time job to help make it work with 3 kids. While we were pricing them out an older gentleman stated if we wanted a computer desk he has one we can have for free. My husband and I questioned the offer at first and asked him what it looked like. He stated he used to work as an accountant and had a home office. The desk was strong and solid, great for an office. They sold their house and needed to move by the first week of May. He continued by saying he no longer needs it or the other office equipment because he is now retired. We took and chance and said yes we would gladly look at it. We followed him home after he checked out and to our surprise what he offered was exactly what we needed. We thanked him because he also let us have the chair and fax machine to help us get started. Thank you again John, you have been spotted

To the man at the petro gas station. I want to thank you for making my night! Won 150 on lottery and put extra money in my gas tank without letting me know and not giving me to the proper chance to thank you. You have been spotted!
I want to spot my daughter. Upon arriving home from work she was at the edge of the road attempting to raise money for hospice. I want to also spot several people who stopped to donate. This was entirely her idea, and she has informed us that she wishes to do this as much as possible. Next on her list is the Humane Society. So props to my eight-year-old. Who put down her iPad in place of busking for charity.
