Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Doing a job on Matthew Brady Blvd, and the city has the street all torn up doing sewer work. People who live down this street are forced to park blocks away close to Lauzon, and walk to their home. I saw a mother with her 3 children walking up the street, and I saw 1 city worker guiding her and her children to a safe path around the rubble. Behind her and the children was the husband carrying boxes of diapers, so that same worker goes back for the husband and helps him carry those diapers.
D'amore Construction, your company should be proud to have men like this working for you!
If you look hard enough, there are good people in this world :)
Today was very scary, my 18 month old was having a medical emergency, not breathing & unresponsive. I ran outside my home with him and several vehicles stopped to help. Thank you. Thank you for helping while I was starting to panic. Thank you to the transit Windsor bus driver who made sure an ambulance was on it's way, and thank you to the nurse that stopped and took him from me. He is doing much better. 💙
I want to give a HUGE shoutout and compliment to all the staff/ lifeguards at Remington Booster Pool.
On the evening of August 13th a friend and I took our daughters swimming. They both had a wonderful time and the staff were both pleasant and calm even after having to remind my friends daughter of the pool rules. At the end of our time my friends daughter had a hard time with transitioning out of the pool. This caused a scene to some. No worries the staff were ALL eager to help assist! It was amazing to see. Great job training the staff/ lifeguards city of WindsorðŸ‘ðŸ»Treating people with special needs with the utmost respect ✊
Thank you
I was having a rough few weeks, I finally got the courage to go to the gym and hit up a hot yoga class at the Goodlife @ Tecumseh Mall. When leaving the gym I was thinking I should grab a veggie sub at subway. So I stop in the Subway near the gym (Tecumseh and Lauzon Pkwy). A few people were ahead of me and this one particular guy was ordering a sub, he said something strange when he was ordering and I shot him a look (which I feel really bad for) but he continued on, as did I. I ordered a 12-inch veggie sub with extra cheese and guac. I go to the counter to pay and the cashier informed me that the person ahead of me paid for my sub!
I was flabbergasted. Never in my life has anyone done that type of gesture for me.
I was wondering to myself that maybe he could actually feel what I was going through (because it has been ROUGH these past few weeks).
God Bless Him.
God knows I needed that at that moment.
Will definitely be paying it forward tomorrow morning.
Thank you!
Just came back from the Pride Parade. What a wonderful and upbeat event! Happily surprised at the turnout. I'd seen on the news that the police had special rainbow vests, but didn't see a single one at the parade. Oh well, their loss! 🌈🌈🌈🌈
Thank you to the two kind hearted guys that helped my husband and family Saturday while on the boat. We are brand new boaters tonight and we decided to take my dad out for a ride. We had some pretty bad luck tonight and and experienced some good learning lessons! First off, we took my daughter tubing and it filled with water and we couldn't get the tube back on the boat. Second, we anchored in Belleriver to eat dinner and the waves started to get really rough. My husband couldn't get the anchor back into the boat as the waters were so rough. These two kind gentlemen, must of seen that we were stuck, came over to our boat in the water, helped pushed the boat out as we were beached and getting closer and closer to the dock. Thank you so much, your help was very much appreciated!
thank you to the black 300 in the tim hortons drive thru on central today at 2:15pm for paying for my order. small things like that can make someone's day! :)
I want to point out the lady inside the retail store on Wyandotte street that sells sporting goods! As my son and I where in there looking for a new bike as his was stolen on Monday from our front porch! She over heard me telling the sales lady what happened! We where leaving the store without finding a bike for him ( he needed and bigger one then what they had) she turned to him and gave him $10 to go towards his new bike! You should have seen his face! She said sorry to hear about his bike and wanted to help out! We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts you made his day and shows him what society should be like. Making a bad experience into a good one! Hopefully u see this, we never got your name but you are so nice for doing this!
