Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the guy at metro on Tecumseh near Banwell. We chatted for a but while you were looking at avacados and we talked about you wanting guacamole for nachos. You were so grateful when I told you they had prepackaged guacamole and ended up picking that instead and returned the ingredients you were going to buy to make it ( much simpler for the situation). You thanked me and went on your way. When I went to cash out the lady at the til mentioned how someone had just paid for the groceries a lady in front of him she was going to buy. He overheard she had left her wallet at the office and didn't have cash. He quickly offered to pay and she thanked him asking if he would meet her back here some time in the future to pay her back. He declined and said he is happy to help. While I was still thinking about our conversation earlier I asked her what this guy looked like. She said tall and he had glasses on and he bought guacamole and some chips. It was you!!!!! My smile even got bigger. Thanks for the chat and laughs in the vegetable area, and thanks for touching 2 other people in a total of 15 minute.
I took my son to a parent and tot gymnastics class today and was disgusted by the lack of parenting going on. I get it, toddlers are difficult to control, but giving up and letting them run wild is not the answer.
Your child's disrespect is contagious to other children. Vaccinate them....with some discipline...or stop procreating.

Would just like to mention a very positive experience I had at the ABC Exchange pawn shop on Wyandotte Street west yesterday. I had a phone emergency I dropped my iPhone while on a walk and it would not turn back on. I was a bit iffy heading into the shop, but my experience was 100% positive! The young man who sold me the phone not only gave me a fair price, but also explained how to transfer my contacts from my old phone to the new one. A nice, family-oriented business that I will mostly definitely go back to! 5 stars!
I want to say thank you to all of the nurses, doctors, staff members, and my doula who have blessed me during my stay. I gave birth to my third daughter on Wednesday evening. The medical staff and my doula, Mindy, helped to make this the most wonderful birth and hospital stay ever. Thank you for you kindness and genuine caring. You'll all will forever be in my heart and I won't ever be able thank you enough.
This morning while in DT at the McDonalds in LaSalle, I was pleasantly surprised to find out from the cashier at the window that the vehicle ahead of me had paid for my breakfast and hoped I had a great day (I believe you were driving a silver Trailblazer) Your random act of kindness really did make my day! I so appreciated the thoughtful gesture and assure you I will enjoy paying it forward. Thank you!!!
After 8 days of pain we finally know what is bothering my daughters stomach. I would like to thank the NURSES and Dr. Woodall at Met. It is nice to be heard as a parent. I gave an extra thanks to the nurse my daughter had. It is amazing how well she ran things on Tuesday morning. You have all been spotted for the hard work you do everyday. Can't be easy dealing with patients when they are at their worst. Thank you so much!!
Anonymous thankful mom and daughter!!
Kudos to the mom in the fluorescent green shirt and her young son, who were working out at Fit4Less on Thursday at 4:30pm! Mom was showing him how to use the cardio and weights and he was smiling the whole time. You have been spotted! You are an inspiration Keep up the great work!!
The other day as I was walking through the south Windsor Walmart parking lot, I noticed a young dad pushing his shopping cart towards his car. His 3 maybe 4 year old daughter was sitting in the child seat of the cart while together, as loud as they were able, were singing the song "True Colours" by Cyndi Lauper. It was absolutely adorable to see & hear this. It also reminded me of how my husband used to sing songs to our daughter while he'd walk her around the house helping her fall asleep. Here's to the many great dads out there who are not praised enough for doing a wonderful job. And for the Dad who was singing with his cute and smiling daughter, you've been spotted!!
